Glad to hear Pat maybe coming for the BDubs game on 10/3. Assume your doing a 2'fer that day. Glad for a couple of evening games early on for those of us with jv, middle school and youth football conflicts.

My only concern with Jordan at CB is his 5'-8" frame.  He looked fine in the scrimmage and definitely displayed the athleticism last yearto handle playing CB, but a 5'-8" corner could present some serious match up problems come playoff time.

Was very surprised to see 3 freshmen from Louisville on the 2-deep.  I assumed Neal Seaman would be the 2nd QB from the day he committed, but Brandon Mathie at WR was a surpise.  I figured it would take him a year before he'd see the field at all and he might end up at DB.  And Cory Whaley at DE is an absolute shock.  He was a very good HS player, but he didn't look anywhere near physically ready to see the field on the D-line the last time I saw him.  I assumed a couple years in the weight room would be required for Whaley to bulk up before he'd play on Saturdays.   Guess I was wrong.

Imagine 3 summers from now still talking about these three going into their senior season.  If MUC can ever find a tailback ;) , they might have a shot.

That 5'8" thing will make me nervous.  I remember when Jason Knapp played always having a heart attack when they threw to his guy because I was nervous that the WR would just jump up, snag the ball and take off.  Luckily Jordan is very athletic which helps calm me down now.

I'm with you HScoach, I thought Whaley was a little light right now.  He's listed at 215, so he's smaller than our undersized starters!  He must be doing something to turn heads though and I'm excited to see it.  I believe someone mentioned that he looked good against W&J getting to the QB.  Just excited for football to start.  Looks like my first look at the Raiders will be Sunday on STO.  Can't wait.

Dr. Acula

Correction...I just looked it up and Millings is listed at 6'1" 210 so at 6'3" 215 Whaley is actually NOT smaller than both of the starters.  Just wanted to point that out for the sake of accuracy.

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

My highly scientific picking process requires me to weigh in on a variety of factors like weather, the lunar cycle and jetstreams so I couldn't possibly pick this early in the week.  Early picking is for people that "just guess".   ;D

Guilty as charged.  Not sure being "the guy from GV" helps my credibility on a football message board!  So I'll just mention that I used to live there, just a standard suburbanite these days.  Ahh, who am I kidding, my whereabouts should be the last thing I worry about effecting my credibility.   ;D

SJFF82

BTW...just heard 'word' that the reason for the 4pm start is that MUC has never won a 4pm start....but they have never played a 4pm start.....uhhhh nevermind

Really though....freshman orientation is Saterday and the program has it such that all parents and new students are being encouraged to 'shuffle' right over to the field as sort of the cap to the orientation day.

Additionally....the school did sell 500 season tickets and apparrently have made the red bucket seats as the 'assigned' seats, which means that they are no longer first come first serve.

So all in all, sounds like getting there early is a priority now.
