Ohio Northern vs. North Central Game - Saturday 09/05/09

So what type of hospitality awaits the Cardinal fans who are making the trip to Ada?  Are we going to be met with open arms?  What does the weather look like for game time?  Any suggestions as to any restuarants in the area to visit?  Give us some hints as to what to expect?

my best advice would be to get there early.  tiny section of bleachers on the visitor side, but the field is surrounded by a hill that you can sit on.  I'll leave the dining suggestions to the locals, but I would not expect too much hostility from the ONU faithful

Wags

Thanks PurpleSuit on the heads up on the visitors' section and hillside seating!  Will make sure to bring a blanket or two to sit on if we are on the hill.

I'll make a suggestion on where to eat:  TOLEDO

The stadium is pretty neat and very new.  But the town is Ada is a real hole.

You guys haven't done your homework.  If you read what LK was quoted when talking about the QB situation, you already have your answer.  I am not saying......I'm just saying.  Remember this quote.....(and I paraphrase)...I want a QB that has good feet...who can avoid the rush and create time to deliver the pass...something like that.  END.....OF.....STORY.

Cecil will only play at QB when we want to shake it up, and make each and every team we play go completely bonkers!

I challenge any team to cover him with one, or even two DB's.

I HOPE we have the next Nate Kmic.......even NK LIGHT.

See some of you SatERday........Skunk and I will be on duty!

Well played sir....

Yes the bleachers are small.  Ada doesn't have much to choose from for dining to be honest.  Depending on what route you're traveling, there are some very good dining option in Lima and Findlay.  Lima has a good number or chain restaurants and fast food joints.  Most of them are located at exit 125 along SR 309 including Kewpee Burger (the place Dave Thomas stole all his ideas from before Wendy's when he worked there as a kid).  If you're coming from the north down 75, my suggestion would be to stop in Findlay at the Main St. exit and eat at Fricker's (sports bar specializing in wings and lots of tv's).  If you go there, you just hop back on 75 South, head to SR 235.  South on 235 to Ada and ONU.  (about 25 minutes).  Ada has a McDonald's, KFC, Subway, couple pizza places and that's about it.

Stadium's at the back end of campus.  There should be signage.  It's a great place to see a game.

reaility check,

Appriciate the "reality check" on Ada (no pun intended)!  Your info has saved us alot of time.  Frickers sounds like a good time and Lima seems to have the most choices.  Ada and downtown Naperville are quite different!  Looking forward to the trip.  If you ever need any info on downtown Naperville hotspots, I will return the favor!

Frickers sucks.  The last time I was in there (in Springfield, mind you)... I had to punch some hillbilly in the nose because he said something about my girlfriends tits being "edible"..

Downtown Alliance may be the biggest hole in America (sorry Purple) I couldn't say eat and downtown Alliance in the same sentence. (maybe a bag of chips at the Roma Society)

So what's the problem?  Weren't they?  Or were they silicon and therefore not edible?

My comment of choice is usually a simple "yummy".

They were enhanced.. So I was doing him a favor, by not letting him ingest that.  They were yummy, but he can have her now that I'm done with her
