Nice job, Northern!

My 13yo and I are listening to the MUC game ... for some reason, he thinks the phrase "Seaman to Shorts" is humorous.

I hope he hears it a lot this season.

Dr. Acula

30 yd TD pass from Seaman to Shorts.  21-3 MUC in the 2nd.

Oops!  That was me ... forgot he was still logged in.
Never underestimate the stimulation of eccentricity.

Kehresma

Krazy Hail Mary with 3 ticks left in the half fell for SJF.  Nice boost for the bad guys!

Dr. Acula

I would not want to be a defensive player in the locker room at half....VK is probably fuming after that hail mary!

Interesting 1st half offensively.  Cecil doing what Ceil does.  Rocco and Seaman both playing a fair amount.  Multiple RB's carrying the ball multiple times (Morring, Panchik, Harris, Lemmon).

JK

Congrats to ONU.  Big win.

I think they announced they might be the #2 in the OAC this year with OTT struggling with Bethany.

BW lost another shootout to Franklin 38-31.  JCU lost to SaintsFan's boys from Thomas More 14-7.

Capital gets underway in half an hour with an Adrian team that has a legit chance of winning the MIAA.

And there's the spread on the point.  Willl LK shut it down now and make HScoach look even more like a genius?
Never underestimate the stimulation of eccentricity.

JK

Capital up 3-0 after each team's first drive.

reality check

The Berg won by 16 at Westminster.

Musky lost to Defiance 13-7.

Etta beat Thiel 20-14.

Congrats to Dean Paul and Ohio Northern... I did foreshadow this a bit in the Triple Take last year.. in the last week of the season.

I'm very happy for Dean and his staff.  Great win.

Also, very happy with an ugly 14-7 Thomas More win in University Heights.  I think the Saints are in for a big, big season.  Maybe not big by MUC standards, but big for us... and maybe equal to an OAC 2nd place team (deep playoff run)... NOT getting ahead of myself though... lots of games to be played.

in the Thomas More game... Laymon Carter FR tailback (Akron Hoban) had a team high 15 carries.

Who else is happy that football is offically back??  With D3 playing games, its official.  Peace to all...

Raider 68

Maybe the ONU/North Central was the most competitive non-conference game after all.

Looking forward to MUC/ONU in two weeks. The Raiders tested several players and Zac Lemon showed the most for the running backs. I do not think Morring will be the starter again.

Rocco had a good game and Seaman showed well for his first varsity game.

Coach Kehres has to feel good about using and seeing that many players today.

You're right.  Thanks for correcting my shoddy math.

So, if some of this year's frosh were born in 1992, then it has already happened.  MUC has won or shared (1994 tied with BW and JCU) every OAC title since these kids were born.

Dood... THAT makes me feel old... wow.  Frosh in college were born in 1992??  A shock for sure.  I think I'll look for a young girl tonight when I hit the town with the fellas.... lots of young talent around!!
