Watched the game on TV sho time replay,   Rocco looked like a first stringer.   Fisher played hard but didn't have the talent to stay with Mt.   On to Ada and the bear's den.

Sorry for the non-D3 post, but I am watching the UC-Rutgers game, and Tony Pike might be the best college QB in Ohio.  286 yards, 2TD, 1 INT in the FIRST HALF...

Unbelievable, JK... last year he was thinking about giving college football up, because he was 3rd string in his 4th year on campus.

I'm headed over to NJAC to see if JT was there yesterday, he has Rutgers season tix..

IMHO, where the 2 QB system works well is when the guys are completely different types of players (Adamson/Bruney and Jorris/Micheli).  If both guys are similar in physical attributes, then rotating QB's just means one hasn't earned all the snaps yet (Bruney/Burghardt).

I can see the logic behind continuing to play Rocco 75% and Seaman 25% for a while because they are completely players in terms running ability and it gives the youngster valuable learning experiences for next year.  And provides a safety net if Rocco stumbles or gets injured.

In all honesty, I'm happy for Rocco.  A little surprised, but happy.  Other than the pitch back to Morring as he was being sacked, he played very well and looked like he could handle being The Man.  Hopefully ONU is the real deal and will push Mount hard enough to test him further next week.  So far, so good.

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

I played in a 2 QB system briefly and will say its hard for either to get in a rhythm --- unless roles are defined (and explained) by the Head Coach or Offensive Coordinator.

Sounds like Rocco worked hard this offseason.  I'm with hscoach, it would be better if he were tested during the OAC season --- like when MUC was pushed by a good Capital (Rocky), BW (Larlham) or JCU (Arth) team.  Not sure thats going to happen this year (outside of possibly Ohio Northern).

Amen HSC!  My sentiments exactly.

Skunk and I were talking on the drive back about whether we were even going to think about heading to Ada, but now we are maybe 65% thinking we are going.

It will be my first ever trip to Ada, so I am wondering......do they still have the Tastee Freeze there?   ;D

Reality......I know..head to Fricker's for wings!

I was also very happy for Rocco.  I hope he continues to shine and Seaman showed he IS the future.  To step in first game and play as he did was impressive. A couple passes high at first, threaded the needle on a couple, one drop that I remember...

I thought that SJF was as good as anyone we will play in the regular season other than maybe ONU and OTT (if QB has a good day)

Watching the replay when I got home the DB's misjudged the hail mary, and I am sure will learn from it.

What in the world did Morring have hanging from the back of his belt?  It looked like a towel, rolled to look like a tail... A tail to go with his mane..hmmm..He had better step it up a bit if he is going to call himself a lion...His power might seem lion-like , but his speed is more pussy cat...I think he will fill the FB spot nicely...block and get a tough yard when needed....

I've seen some pretty fast pussy cats!  Gotta love the creativity with the uniform.  Perhaps he has a future as a costume designer on broadway.

Just don't bring any talent with you to Frickers.... those rednecks who hang in there don't know how to act around talent.

See my posting from last week.

Other than Mount and Whitewater, who could be the dominant team
from the South? Is Hardin- Simmons ready to move up, or will Mary Hardin
Baylor be strong enough to challenge WW come playoff time. I remember when Trinity (TX) was a strong program. The East has not had a real
consistent power since Rowan was in the 90's

Maybe this year, we could see some new teams in the playoffs, but the
Raiders must only to look to their next game.

Here's hoping that you are wondering about Thomas More in Week 12 or 13 this year.... I know they aren't a POWER team, per say... but if they get in again this year, they won't just be happy to be there.

Looking forward to watching the SJF-MUC game tonight on DVR. Wish I could have made the game.  Now I have to wait almost two weeks to watch them again? Ugh.

Who is planning on making the drive to the armpit of Ohio for the ONU game? J/K RC  ;D

raiderpa

Ada may be an armpit, however the new stadium is a superb venue....obviously someone will moan about the visitors bleachers, but other than MUC who will ever fill them...

bushman

I hope Rocco does well and has a great Sr. year.  He deserves it, as he must have worked very hard in the off season.  I guess I just like tall QBs, the taller the better.  Much easier to see Cecil come open and hopefully the ball is there.   Go Raiders, declaw the Bears.

RC,

How has ONU's attendance been over the last several years? Especially for big games...................

Bushman,

There is another tall QB in Columbus, Let's hope USC cannot handle him!!
