Pierre just went all Justin Beavers on Rogers-Camardie!

Pierre is having a good game, nice reverse and then the long bomb
from Peyton.

No big changes in the D3 poll, a loss does not send you way back as
in the case of Penn State from 5 to 15.

For this coming Saturday, hope we have another good crowd for the
Raiders, but two night games in a season is a bit much.

haha Pierre did it again!

Coincidentally was on the phone with a MUC grad in Texas.  Probably broke his eardrum as PG got the 57-yard TD.
Never underestimate the stimulation of eccentricity.

That was a nice catch and run for Pierre! Two weeks in a row and a nice run for 17.

On the Mount note - I am not criticizing Rocco, not against him , not giving him any grief - I'm just not convinced he's there yet. I just think he needs some work and he will get that. I have seen his stats and they are good - but ONU is the best D he faced and he completed 50% (7 of 14) for 129 yds, 1 td and a pick - that is not a great day for a qb.  Yes his stats were outstanding against Musky - but they should be. Musky is 0-3 and has won 3 games since 2007. The one team he had an amazing game against was St. John Fisher. While they are no slouch - they are not exactly beasts either.

Stats are what they are - but they are not everything. All I am saying is he needs some work - he throws a great deep ball and with Cecil that may be enough. After watching him scramble - here's hoping he doesn't have to do much of that.

Hey Gang!

I was in Athen visiting my daughter (meaning buying monthly apartment supplies/food/etc...), so I missed the game last night.  MF....thanks for the invite, and we will DEFINITELY have to do the ultimate tailgate before the regular season is over.

To all that are calling out Mount fans who are criticizing Rocco.......I think there needs to be some realism regarding this subject.  Rocco (overall) has done everything asked of him.  He is FANTASTIC against less than stellar opponents.  HOWEVER.......when pressured, he still has "nervous feet", and LK HATES nervous feet.  He LOVES QB's who can create space and time to throw.

I am much more comfortable with Rocco than I was three weeks ago, but I am definitely not warm and fuzzy as of yet.  As someone else said (and I was at the ONU game), when pressured Rocco was way less than stellar.  Seaman wasn't much better that game, but he IS only a freshman.  Here's hoping Rocco gets more and more comfortable as the season wears on.  We need him ready for the play-offs.

Bummer for ONU.  I really wanted them to run the table, because I think they were worthy and able to make a run in the play-offs.  I know OTT beat then, but I don't think OTT has ANY run in the play-offs.  I have to give their backup QB and the team huge kudos for stepping in/up under tough circumstances, so who knows.....

anyone hear about Seaman's getting banged up before halftime?  I wondered why we did not see him in the 2nd half..
I agree you have to cut Rocco some slack...his stats for a first year starter are super....

Apparently, Seaman was taken to the hospital after the game with some sort of issue with his heart.  Hopefully it was just precautionary and he'll be ok.

Pierre is finally showing some confidence in the league now, he isnt backing down from anyone.  Hopefully he can grab hold of the WR 2 spot and push Gonzalez to the slot when he comes back

Footwork? I thought we were talking football, not "Dancing With the Stars". So far he seems to be doing pretty darn well at football.

Footwork is pretty key to a QB's accuracy, sir.  Please reference Tom Brady next time (they break down his footwork alot on TV)

Nervous feet = inaccurate throws

For those that missed Pierre's touchdown last night - here is a link on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEjTF8nEiHE

I was watching sports center last night after the game and the one guy was talking about Peyton and doing it with Marvin and Reggie and all of that - then he says "but now he's doing i with Pete the Waiter or whatever his name is". Maybe that's why Pierre was pointing to the name on his jersey.

By the way - I missed the 17 yard rush -saw it through the corner of my eye as my daughter was crying and I had to go. Anyone have a link to that and it would be nice. Or to Pierre manhandling Cromartie.

Those pesky and wonderful kids!  My wife and I finally got ours to go to sleep last night and when I turned the TV back on, the first play I saw was to Garcon.  I did get in trouble though because I cheered a bit too loundly and nearly woke up my son.

Acky

Garcon now has as many touchdowns this season as the entire Cleveland Browns team.

That is not a fair comparison though.  Pierre plays for a professional team.

Pierre looked like he belongs now, however I do miss the excitment he brought on special teams. Nice takle on the interception. Bulk up Cecil, Garcon and Urbane paved to way.

On the D3 side, my son's team went  to 6-0 and has two games to go plus the championship round so I am settling in with Harry Paidas and Joe Tait plus radio on the laptop for most of the rest of the regular season. Having three live stats up,plus Rick and Coach along with live video from Capital caused my hard drive fail in my laptop. Will be back online this week.

Thanks to Lenny for ALL the in game updates from soccer to volleyall to football to Pierre updates on Facebook and Twitter

Happy + karma to all

Best wishes go out to Seaman for a total recovery, whatever the problem. Come on Purple, we whined about Jorris, Burghardt and Bruney, Adamson till he transferred away and back again. We were just forced to shut up for the last three years. We're restless, unsure and slightly afraid to book our rooms in Roanoke or get a tuneup on the old car. We know we have special teams problem but other that kickoffs when we all using the head what else is there to talk about.  Which one of thirty running backs to use.  ??? Personally, I want to see the big gunslinger from Florida before the year is out.

Good to hear that Seaman's problem was a temporary one. I was concerned as to who would take over in the event Rocco were to get Rocked. The Kid from Fla I hope is making progress on the JV squad. Any updates on their progress?
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

With the viruses and flus going around its possible that Seaman was suffering from a flu related illness.  Not a trained medical pro, nor did I spend last night in a Holiday Inn Express, but just speculating.

Garcon is showing he belongs in the NFL.

reality... I see you lurking.  I'm going to send you some pictures of the Badin/CJ game... and the game story.  CJ shut out the Rams.  They had trouble with both Dayton teams this year...scoring only 7 total points against Alter and CJ the last two weeks.  I do think Alter repeats in Division IV this year though, from what I've seen.

This week, they get well against Purcell Marian (Adam Sayer on here coaches there)... and they are terrible.  Can't believe how far they've fallen in 10+ years.
