I'm with TooForRaider. Larry stays at UMU or MUU or TUAMU or MTU until he breaks the MUC National Championsnip record. Works for me. 8)

Best wishes go out to Seaman for a total recovery, whatever the problem. Come on Purple, we whined about Jorris, Burghardt and Bruney, Adamson till he transferred away and back again. We were just forced to shut up for the last three years. We're restless, unsure and slightly afraid to book our rooms in Roanoke or get a tuneup on the old car. We know we have special teams problem but other that kickoffs when we all using the head what else is there to talk about.  Which one of thirty running backs to use.  ??? Personally, I want to see the big gunslinger from Florida before the year is out.

Good to hear that Seaman's problem was a temporary one. I was concerned as to who would take over in the event Rocco were to get Rocked. The Kid from Fla I hope is making progress on the JV squad. Any updates on their progress?

Seventies,

I agree that not being more sure of the QB situation like the last few years
causes some anxiety, and I am sure that Coach Kehres knows it better
than all the Mount supporters. He is the best on judging talent and knowing
how to adjust during the course of the year.

Regarding the QB from Florida, did he dress for the Musky game or not?

I need to do a better job of the Pick-ems, in order that the more
senior Raider fans have a chance especially with the point spreads.

SaintsFAN:  I assume you're still heading in for the BW/MUC game?  If so, when's your ETA?
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Thanks B4. 11 months after the neck surgery and I've finally put together a couple of "normal days" in the past week. I'm just glad to have survived 3 hours in a constant downpour on Saturday. Now I know why Coach Gag's sits in the booth. Thanks go out to the only soccer kid in Mogadore who kicked the 2 point conversion (youth rules)

Why do I get the feeling that there is some anti d3 attitude at espn  and esp. not wanting to mention where PG went to school?  Al Michaels mentioned Mt. Union on TV and stated it was a d3 powerhouse. He also said Pres. Mckinley  went there and that it was in Alliance ohio.  Oh well they are just going to have to deal with it as pierre is not going away and will continue to emerge as a prime receiver for the colts.

From whence cometh this quote?  It is, surely, not from the pen of the revered Bard of Avon.  Although methinks he could have penned it in reference to the performance of the mighty Pierre!

Apparently Al Michael's in depth research was from Wikipedia. William McKinley went to Allegheny but dropped out because of family finances. He also briefly attended law school in Albany NY and got accepted to the bar without a degree. His Alliance connection was Levi Lamborn who owned the greenhouses that were on the site where the practice fields are now. He ran against Lamborn for public office and Lamborn always wore a Red Caranation in his label which McKinkley adopted as well. I believe McKinley has an honorary degree from Mount. Wikipedia also says he was a member of SAE fraternity while at Mount Union which I know was honorary later in life however there are Presidenctal pictures of him with his SAE pin on. We SAE's were that cool even then.

In the event you haven't been on the front-page, SR LB Adam Jones' father suffered a fatal heart attack on his way to today's game in Westerville.

Thoughts and prayers go out to the Jones family and all of ONU.  I know they were playing with heavy hearts today and it's a tragedy.
Here's a link to Mr. Jone's obituary at Gillman Funeral Home.   A definite ONU fan.

Never underestimate the stimulation of eccentricity.

Small but Slow

A Tampa Bay sports radio talk show host was complaining about the Bucs' recent draft futility comparing the success of the Colts' scouting.  He praised the Colts for drafting a WR in the 6th round (Garcon) who is contributing in his second year while the Bucs drafted Dexter Jacksol out of App. State in the second round same year and has been a huge bust.  He actually knew of PG's collegiate success and was complimentary of his preparation for the NFL.  He suggested that PG may become the next Reggie Wayne with the Colts with his big play potential and physical play.

Get to tour the modern Heidelberg (haven't been there since I was in college) on 10/12. Watch out Coach Mike, I may just be knocking on your door.

If Pierre is getting compared to Reggie Wayne, that is high praise. He is unbelievable. Austin Collie may be pushing PG to up his game as well .

My prayers to the Jones Family. I hate to see people younger than me die or anybody with a family that size. I'll quit bitching about my back.

Now that Pierre has shown he belongs, he will be expected to show results and improve. Having another receiver (Collie) push him will help.
It will be interesting to see what happens to the mix when Gonzales returns, but for now it is one game at a time. ;)

On this board, I said some weeks ago that Pierre would stretch the field
and I challenged by a few that could not happen. They were not from
the OAC if I recall.

Any updates on Neil Seaman's condition?

Chris Berman mentioned the same comparison on the MNF half time report and showed a highlight of Pierre's TD. Way to go Pierre! ;)
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

Well one was me, 68 and after him catching a deep ball for a TD, I'm not ready to crown it yet.  I will gladly eat crow when its done consistently like Sean Jackson of the eagles has.

I'm rooting for the guy, but IMO your puffing your chest out about this subject a little prematurely.
