"Soft" Defensive game plan yesterday reminds me of the Stagg Bowl last year.  Maybe that is the Bend but don't Break D saved for games where the opponent matches up better (physically & speed) with MUC???

Did you see what Coppage did for UWW yesterday?  MUC has a long way to go if they want to defend the Championship in December.

If MTU has some way to go, this game was needed.  Whether MTU succeeds will depend on which happens first:  MTU sees the weaknesses that led to the near-upset and fixes them, or an opponent sees them and exploits them for real damage.

Being tested in a strong conference (the OAC has multiple ranked teams and often more than just its champion in the playoffs) is an avantage which, in the FBS of Division I, we see in the Southeastern Conference.  That this league has ruled the FBS in recent years is no coincidence.

So, with all the success of the MUC program, how come they don't stream ALL their games online?

There are MUC graduates all over that would like to watch the team more than once or twice a year.
Great big ditto!
I'd pay-per-view.  Let's get it going.  SID, are you listening?

I've seen Mount twice this year on the Internet: St John Fisher and Capital.  How do they do it and Mount can't?

Have you also seen what North Central has been doing in the CCIW?  They put up 83 points yesterday...

Putting up 83 points on North Park is not an accomplishment.
I had to look at their game stats.  NCC threw just 13 passes (all complete).  They had 85 yds in penalties.  NCC just ran over them.  They didn't do the slide near the goal line or kick field goals just to give their kicker practice as some dominating teams do against out-matched opponents.

No, but their freshmen were in more than half the game... That's what dominating teams do against outmatched opponents (unless, of course, the dominating teams aren't truly dominating after all)!!

I know it has been mentioned before but the black pants look pretty rough with the white tops.  :-[

Looks like they stole those leggings from Fame, or maybe Flashdance.

Agree, the only pants that look good with the white jersey are purple and white.

The Raiders need to forget the uniforms and just focus on getting
better, use practice uniforms like JoePa does at PSU. Coach Kehres
will solve the areas to need to be corrected. Look out "Berg!

My personal congrats to Jason Trusnik on first,  coming home to play football and secondly being all over the field today in the Browns victory. Three takles and he was involved in a lot of other plays.

Something positive in a sorry excuse for a professional football game

D3 Poll after Saturday:

1st place votes

Mount 19
UWW    6

As predicted a close game changes things a little. UWW has a  bit tougher
game this week  at Stout, that could change voting again.

Getting the snacks ready for a Colts (and Pete the Waiter) pounding of the Titans. ;D

And then get ready to head to Heidelberg, or as Monty Python used to say: "And now, something completely different"

Tis OK, that is why we have the playoffs.

Capital went from 21st to 16th with the close loss.
ONU went from 18th to 19th after a beat down of the 'Berg.
Otters stayed put with the close one vs. the Pile.

UW-LAX was 4-0 and lost to a 2-5 Platteville team.
