Why is Ott 7-0, 7-0 in the regionals?  When did they grab the extra conference game?

At the top of the page, it tells you what the two records are.

There are 3 possibilities to explain why UWW is ranked 4th in the West:

1.It's early and the committee knows things will change so they ranked them based on straight OWP.
2. The West Regional were all travelling together and were in a car accident, suffered concussions, and they actually think there are 3 teams in the west better than UWW.
3.  Wildcat11 is West region Chair

First is Regional Record, Second is Overal Record.  Neither is conference record.

Does it make anyone else sick that the two starting pitches in the World Series are former Cy Young Winners for the Indians?

.....and, that Eric Wedge didn't even have Cliff Lee on the roster when Cleveland was in the playoffs a few years ago. ???

I felt the same way and I was happy for Cliff Lee. Everyone thought CC would leave the tribe, but others though Cliff could have stayed. The Tribe like the Browns need new owners who are willing to make and keep the investment.

My interest in pro sports has dropped off considerably, except for the Colts
which we followed when we lived in Indy (prior to Pierre).

So we know that the Raiders are good year in and year out and college
football especially at the D3 level is what keeps our interest.

I think the sad part about the playoff picture is that the #2 OAC team always has to go through Mt. Union to get to the Championship besides the year CAP played UWW in the first round. Put the #2 or hopefully (#3 this year) team from the OAC in another part of the bracket and lets see who comes out with more wins. The OAC is hands down the strongest league in the country. CAP lost 2 games within the final 3 minutes this year. If they win out, I think they deserve to be in. It would be great for the playoffs and possibly great for a National Championship game. :)

What up tdubs!!

My solution

Put MUC in the North region.

Put Otterbein in South region.

Put Capital/ONU winner in East region.

There is somewhat of a rpecedent for this.  I remember they put JCU in the East region a few years back.  I am sure that geography has some impact on it.  This is the longest of long shots I know.

I have no issue with an OAC team being in the same region or half of the bracket as Mount Union.  While I would love to see an all-OAC Stagg Bowl, it really would not appeal to most of the rest of the D-III football world.

Not fully understanding all the details of figuring out where to seed and place each team in the bracket, I think the committee is wise to not give even the possibility of two teams from the same conference much chance to meet in the championship.  Would we in the OAC really want to see two Wisconsin teams play in VA?  Or UMHB vs. HSU?

The only way I could see the committee really letting it happen is one of two ways...both the 1 and 2 teams in the country must be run-away top two teams.   Or a second team from a conference makes an incredible and unbelievable run to upset other teams along the way and almost "luck" their way into a Stagg birth.

When Arth was at JCU they put JCU in the East Region and MUC in the North.  JCU ran the table in the East and met MUC in the national Semi-Finals (North vs. East).

As much as I disliked Wedge, no one in their right mind would have had Lee on the playoff roster that year. He was HORRIBLE the entire year.

Last season and this season....a whole different story!

or whatever the WIAC backers say.
However, the conference champs in a couple of leagues can hold their own and would love to play anybody from a touted better league. That way one learns what it takes.

I see Mount moving to the East again, with the 2nd place OAC remaining in
the North. Also, it is easier to move UWW to the North to balance out the current West region, assuming these teams win out for the season.
