Would be pretty intimidating if all 185 uniformed Raiders came out in front of the Otterbein bench. And doubley stupid. I had happily forgotten that incident, considering how effective it was. They've already got enough bulletin board crap out there for this year. Sure the D will have something to say come a week from Saturday

Please forgive me Saturday if I cheer for Ryan Brodie from JCU, if he gets in. He's got 4 yards and four tackles, so I'm not banking on it. Given what I know about his speed, I hope Regis continues to keep him on the bench. Can't really figure why JCU isn't giving younger payers more reps given this season has been over for a while
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

Did anyone catch Oakland Raiders DE Richard Seymour guaranteeing a playoff appearance for The Raiders this year? That's pretty cool he gave a shout out to MUC, because there is no way he meant the Raiders he was playing for!

Westly Dad   ...I hope you make the trip, but you wont see a close game.  You will get to see a championship team coming together for their Title run, and some great D-3 players.  The number of points scored in the next three games by the Raiders on opponents will be determined by LK;  because  JCU,  the Otters, and Marietta have no chance of stopping these guys.  Be glad to buy you a cheeseburger at the Hood after the game.  Wait till you see the Raiders passing attack, awe inspiring.

The OAC is hands down the strongest league in the country. CAP lost 2 games within the final 3 minutes this year. If they win out, I think they deserve to be in. It would be great for the playoffs and possibly great for a National Championship game. :)

Let's just tell it like it is. The most competitive Stagg Bowl we could ever hope to ask for is Mount Union's first team vs Mount Union's second team.

Mount's Fourth Team could play special teams with the First Team. Their Third Team could play special teams with the Second Team. Their Fifth and Sixth Teams could fill out the rosters for both sides!

Their other 50 or 60 kids could probably enter the playoffs and make it to the quarterfinals!

The MOST over-the-top post I have ever seen.

+k for chutzpah - which is hard to accomplish with MUC's record! :D

Wesleydad
hey, glad to see you do still drift the OAC boards, lol. I was with you at the WingsWarehouse last year or was it the year before, lol, when you came to see Mount play. Ott and Mount should prove to be a decent game this year as well, and if you feel like making the trip i'm sure it would be worth the visit. Drop me a PM if you do make the trip, we'll plan to meet up and we will have our tailgate going as well.

Wesleydad,

I agree it will be a decent game and should be well attended. I do think however, it will be close in the early going and not be later. The Ott defense has given up too many points to stay with the Raiders, and the Mount "D" will be playing with extra incentive.

There is no way the committee EVER puts three teams from one conference in the playoffs...it is more politically correct to give what could have been a third bid to someone else and spread the playoff wealth...

It hasn't happened in all of two years, when three Empire 8 teams made the playoffs.

Yeah, but we only played two of them that year (St John Fisher and Ithaca) so it was harder to remember.  Hartwick never got their chance at a run at MUC after losing to Curry the same day Mount beat Ithaca.

Besides, that year never happened for Mount Union.  It's been stricken from the record books because they didn't with the championship.   ;)
