Skunks Sidekick,

Extremely off topic here but TMC won their 2nd straight PAC title today AT Washington and Jefferson by holding the Presidents to 25 yards in the 4th quarter of a 14-7 game.

W&J got 84 yards in the 1st quarter and 71 yards the final 45 minutes of the game.  I think the TMC defense will have the Saints in good shape for the NCAA's little D3 tournament.  W&J's defense was no slouch, as you said after the scrimmage --- they SHOULD get a Pool C, if things work out.

Pool C is gonna be ugly.  I'm glad we already have our fate sealed.

hscoach -- I'm glad I wasn't wrong with my analysis... I can only imagine how much grief you'd have given me.

I made a mistake. Stoughton ran the TD. He also just through a pick on 1st down on their last drive. OC gets upset. This is unreal

are you kidding me??  I'm sorry to hear this.. MUC is now must win for OTT in order to have 2 in... and then some prayers for ONU's hopes.  Or does this make ONU the leading candidate for #2 in the playoffs?  What do you guys think?

A loss to Etta? I hope Ott doesn't get in just to have another blowout in the first round.....BUT it seems like injuries are killing them.

Wow.

Wow.

they had to play with their third string QB. Not sure exactly what happend to Schlosser but he left early. Tough to do much offensively when you're down to your 3rd stringer under center. Hopefully he can get healthy for next week, if not, it could be a very long afternoon

bushman

Does that mean that Schlosser will not march his offense up and down the field against Mt's D next week?

SF.....I am very impressed.  I really thought W & J would give your guys more than they could handle.

OTT loses to Marietta?????? That is just ridiculous!  I HOPE they don't get in the play-offs, and ONU does.  That is just wrong......

Next week is going to be a horrible beat down.

Wesleydad...it won't be a game, but you will have fun if you come out.  My gang will all be there.

ONU's hopes took a hit today... wow.  IWU's QB had 340 yards in the air.

Pretty sure Josh McDaniels learned what he knows about footbal at home, not in University Heights. Ugh, that was awful. Yes, Mount is really good, but JCU was only good at getting in the way. I realize that they are there for a Jesuit education, but they mostly came from really good high school programs only to s&*k at JCU.  Carpenter, Rocco, Morring, Shorts, AJ and Petrezula (sp) alll looked to be getting ready for the playoffs. Still some special teams mental mistakes but also some gems.

The real news is Marietta beat ANYBODY. Trust me I watched my Mogadore Wildcats look past a team and get hamered this season, but Etta?? Bein's third stringer QB s/b able to start for Etta, they are that bad. Did anybody take 'Etta and the points???

reality check

Fired up about ONU's big jack-stomping of the Pile but NCC and OTT dropping the ball today screws up our chances a great deal.  I think that ONU's chances took a severe hit and as happy as I am for TMC (both for Saintsfan and b/c I took the Saints and the points) it means another serious contender to the Pool C pile-up.

You can only win your games and hope everyone else takes care of business.

seventies

I took Etta and the points.  I also took Muskingum and the points versus CAP.  Only OAC game that tripped me up was the Berg only beating Wilma by 3 when I thought they'd run wild on the Quackers.  A win is a win though so I'm sure Hallett and crew are happy to have a little winning streak going as they return to Tiffin.  The offense has some playmakers and I'm impressed with how far Heidelberg has come.

reality check

Maybe ONU finally moves up in the polls though with three teams ahead of them losing today: OTT, NCC and W&J.  The only bad thing is that the teams that lost today would have helped us more if they won.  Irony.

And I just read the OSU/NMSU box and it looks like the Buckeyes went "Mount Union" on the Aggies...

559 to 62 in total offense.

Ouch.

I think that MUC could have given New Mexico State a game............seriously.

Please, this was not intended to begin the MUC vs. Div. I/II debate ;)

I don't mean to be cruel, but with the recruiting area they have JCU and BW should be looking for new coaches.

Pretty sure Josh McDaniels learned what he knows about footbal at home, not in University Heights.

JCU was 28-6-2 under Tony DeCarlo during Josh McDaniels' four years there in the late 1990s.  London Fletcher was also in the program for three of those years.  They played good football and I'm sure McDaniels learned a thing or two from his time in a Blue Streaks uniform.  :P

I'm not sure what's going on with the program now.  :o
