I would be terribly upset if there were three NCAC teams in the north and Mount got shipped to the east again ;D
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

I wish the Cards were healthy too--I was looking forward to a tough game this weekend and was hoping that we would get to have a good challenge before the playoffs--unfortunately, because of the injuries, it doesn't look like that will be the case this weekend.

Me too.  I was really looking forward to another regular season match-up with a team that potentially had the fire power to push Mount before the playoffs.  The Raider team offense is coming together, but I'd feel much beter with another test under Rocco belt before we get to Week 11 and beyond.  There aren't going to be many Wilmingtons and John Carrolls in the playoffs.

Agreed! Been a few years since we've played in the East...I'd enjoy playing Case this year.

I have a feeling Whitewater wouldn't mind it though.  Talk about a cake walk to the Semi-Finals if your bracket had 3 NCAC teams in it.

Maybe they could put Allegheny in the east with MUC and you guys can cherish that little blast from the past.   :)

Regarding predicting the top 4 seeds in the playoffs, my take would be the following, but I have work to do to catch RC in the prediction category:

# 1 Seed Mount Union - #1 all year, #1 in North Region rankings

#2  Seed UWW or St. John's - UWW moves North, STJ West

#3  St. John's or UWW

#4  Wesley

UWW has played and beaten both St. John's and Wesley a few times
in the playoffs lately.

If the committee wants a potential change in the Stagg Bowl, then it could
be MUC vs. UWW in Alliance (OK with me and HScoach) and STJ vs. Wesley

In any scenario, I think it is unlikely that St. John's would be seeded higher
than Mount. Their year has not been as dominate as UWW or Mount.

Although Mount has beaten St. John's more recently, noone has got over the Stagg loss of 2003 24-6, when Mount had truly one its best teams and did not get it done. A rematch with St. John's would be just fine!

Actually, just looked it up and it was 2003.  2004 was the loss in the Semis at home vs. UMHB.

After that loss is when MUC went away from the HUGE Offensive Lineman and made a move to the Smaller/Quicker variety.  I think in 2003 MUC's OL averaged taller and heavier than OSU.

Seventies,

I feel the same way, but the odds are strong that Mount goes East again
and who knows who from the North goes along!

I would really really REALLY hope that the committee wouldn't massage the seedings of the top 4 teams as to avoid Mount Union and Whitewater in the Stagg Bowl.  If the bracket, when seeded accurately and fairly, says that Mount Union and Whitewater are the top two seeds (I don't see how it could be any other way), then those teams need to be in different halves of the bracket.

The onus isn't on the committee to mix up the matchups in the Stagg Bowl.  The onus is on the rest of D-III to figure out how to get over on those guys.  If we keep getting Mount Union vs. Whitewater, it's because those teams played the game better than anybody else and earned it.

Mount made the move to the smaller, quicker O-line, but OSU never did
and that is a big part of their problem today, too slow!!!

Looking at the 2003 Roster MUC had the following Seniors on the OL:
Larry Kinnard  6'6"  307
George Momirovic  6'5"  310
Dusty Wison  6'5"  320
Bob Bradley  6'5"  320
