I know the rankings have nothing to do with the selection but the rankings are based on educated opinions across Division III and I'd feel better about our chances if we were 15th versus 25th.  That's all I was really getting at.

Is it crazy to think that CAP's 6-3 is actually more impressive right now than OTT's 7-2?  I mean OTT's loss to Marietta was inexcusable and they might as well have stayed in Westerville rather than making the trip to Alliance.  CAP played MUC tough, lost on a last second play to OTT and were not blown out by Northern.

As the president of the OAC Offensive Behavoir Committee, I find your statement about 3rd world prostitutes completely harmless.

I think I should be on this committee to provide some balance--I am also offended at having to point out that the word is Behavior (or are we going for some kind of French thing here?). ;D ;D
Reloading--Again, and again, and again....

No balance is needed from some bleeding heart softee.  The committee functions just fine with me as the sole judge and jury!

And no, I'm not going french on you.  I bath every day and I prefer my women with less leg and chest hair than I have.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

I wasn't avoiding my computer all weekend because of the blowout loss. I was visiting my lovely lady up north and never got around to checking the d3boards. My dad texted me throughout the game. Sounded like the no offensive production in the first half and giving Mount great field position off punts put this one away early in the first half. Very dissapointing game for the program. Can't make any excuses when you get beat by a better team, and Mount was that on Saturday. I was told #9 got sent to the locker room before half time by the coaches. I wasn't sure if he played or not in the second half. Being frustrated in a game where you are being blown out is understandable, but letting your emotions show on the sidelines isn't. Hopefully OC can regroup for this weekends game against JCU. It's senior day on campus, and say what you will about Otterbein being pretenders or what not, but this class will leave being the most successful in school history. Getting a program turned around takes sometime, but I think the future looks bright for OC

Go Cards!

Over the years I have admired the way Mount Union has dominated the OAC in particular & all of Div 3 in general!
Well now my boys have finally made a dent in the National Div 3 landscape (Kean #24) & I'm proud to finally say ...
I hope we'll meet you guys in the NCAA playoffs this year!  ;D
I'm proud of our football program's growth no matter how it all ends this season but if Kean is lucky enough to win a couple games well ...
I'll just keep dreaming!  ;)
Good luck this year Mount Union & all of the teams fortunate enough to make it to the playoffs this season!!!  :D

Obviously Kean needs to move up to D2.  Sheesh.

See?  Teams just need to improve themselves .... use Mount Union as a measuring stick and a blueprint for how to get it done.

I'm guessing by your SN that you played for Kean at somepoint. Would those have been any of the years that Joe Loth was their head coach?

Why do Mount Union fans really care how the rest of the OAC looks?  I mean if you think about it, even if the OAC were complete garbage as a conference, as long as MUC keeps rolling through the playoffs every year, it doesn't reflect badly on them.  It's not like we're talking about a situation like Ohio State and the Big Ten.

Because we have pride in our conference and we need the OAC to be strong to prepare the team for a playoff run.

When the 2nd OAC team wins in the playoffs, it strengthens the recruiting and resolve of the other OAC teams and therefore makes them more competitive.  Which in turn pushes Mount to being the best they can be.  The Raiders wouldn't have won their 10 previous championships facing NCAC level competition for 10 weeks each year.

I would say its the opposite of the OSU situation.  Instead of the top team choking in big games and embarassing the conference, its the conference embarassing the top team.  Mount being great helps the OAC, and Mount fans want the rest of the OAC to return the favor.  It all comes down to who plays who, and the Mount fans want the OAC to do well in the playoffs to validate Ohio football.

Hopefully the OAC can have a second team in the playoffs, ONU and they
can be very competitive.

I'm pretty happy to see Heidelberg spotting 19.5 to ANYONE. Mount Union needs a competitive conference to be competitive. Games like last week are a waste.

PIOS where art thou?

I think OldOtter should put up a picture of LK ;D

Seventies,

Agree, last week was a non-event. So now it is Marietta, time to run
Zac L. alot in the second half and have some good PT for the guys
returning next year. Hopefully no injuries and a good opening opponent
in the playoffs.

J-V team 10-0 again this year, good omen for 2010 and beyond!
