If CarrollStreaks posts on the OAC board and no-one reads it or responds to it, does it make a sound?   ???

It does.  It sounds like hot wind escaping a balloon.

Honestly, and I know this is sad, but I stopped reading after the part where I was called a liar simply based on the idiocy and ignorance of the argument being made I lost interest in the entire post even though most of it was aimed at me.  I'm over it and having arguments with idiots (except for the idiots I already associate with ie. hscoach, SAINTSFAN, seventies, kirasdad, toph, SAINTSFAN, oldotter, SAINTSFAN, etc.)

They give actual degrees at CJ??

I didn't know that about your knee.   The great thing about Coach Paul is that he treated us as if we had been great players under him that day.  I didn't even play at ONU, obviously..  started 4 games for him my 5th year before an injury ended it.  IMO, THATS why players love to play for him.  Mike Hallett is the same way.   ONU and HC are both in good hands..

Unlike Badin where they just carve your name into a chunk of tree bark with a P for pass or an F for fail???   ;D

Hello all you purple heads!  It's the PLAY-OFFS!

RG - we should arrive at around 10 ish.

I was impressed with W & J's defensive line in the scrimmage, so it will be interesting to see how that translates in a play-off game.

I was one that was very critical of Rocco, and I couldn't be happier for the kid, the team, and my rooting interest that he has really stepped up his game.  I am more than happy to say......I WAS WRONG!   ::)

Mt. Fan, Hurf - good to see you guys last Saturday, and here's hoping we get to have our now annual pre-semi, semi eve drinkathon this year like the last few.

Oh....and I have to say I was very impressed with the Marietta QB.  He had a really good arm, and is maybe oh....five or six more players away from being REALLY good.

Got to speak directly to one of the potential recruits last Saturday.  Pretty impressive kid, so I hope he does the right thing!   :)

See you on Saturday!

I plan to see you then. Looking forward to a great game.

As the President of the Mike Jorris fan club I too am glad to see Kurt doing so well. I for some reason am not as concerned about the happy feet in the pocket. It seems to be a habit he has always had and does not seem to effect his ability to zip the ball where he wants it to go. And as I mentioned earlier it will serve him well when he gets to California for his stint on Dancing with the Stars! ;)
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

I'll take that as a compliment, haha. This d3boards battle is getting intense! I love it!

HScoach

If you're particiating in the Playoff Pic-Em's, please try to have your picks in by Friday night.  With 16 games and a good turnout expected, I'd like to get as many entered as possible on Friday night instead of Saturday after the game.

Thanks.

Looks like he had in order:

1. hscoach
2. SaintsFAN
3. seventies
4. kirasdad
5. toph
6. old otter

I'm not sure I agree with that order, though   :D

Since I don't know how much time I will have to check back with you fine folks, here is my prediction for Saturday's Mount/Mutt & Jeff game.

This game will be no contest.  History shows us that one of these teams has had great success, while the other has floundered.  I think you all can sense which way I'm leaning.

Washington and Jefferson - 22
MUC - 0.5

That's right.  Winning by the EXACT average score of the first four contests between these two titans of American foot-ball, the Presidents extend their streak against Mount Union to 5-0, while Mount's much documented struggles continue...dropping to 0-5.

A sad day in Alliance.  The flags at Wing Warehouse and the Hood are ordered to be flown at half staff, while CarrollStreaks heads to Carnation Mall to put the final nail in the Mount Union Football coffin.  HSCoach and Ric prepare for a trip to Salem anyway...because frankly at this point they don't know what else to do.

Enjoy the games, everyone.

It wouldn't be funny if it wasn't true.

Well done.

Being a central Ohio guy my whole life and a long time listener to The Fan, wanted to let everyone that didn't know already that Chris Spielman's wife Stefanie has passed away this evening after a 11 year battle with breast cancer. She was a true hero. Rest in peace...

Prayers go out for Chris and his family. Very sad and definitely provides perspective as to what is important and what isn't.

CarrollStreaks-

Let me first say that I don't know who you are or how old you are, hell...you could be older than me.  I'll give you some advice anyway.  This is an instance where you should've just let things go.  Your little pissing contest (honestly, you were arguing about teams from 10 years ago trying to make some inane point) with RC was buried a few pages back.

If you look at the oldest posts on this board, you can see that I have had my share of arguments with some folks...including RC.  Some of those I would chalk up to youthful indiscretion, some I would still make today.  Even in my most heated and sometimes most regrettable arguments, however, I've never (seriously) gone to the "institutional deficiencies" card.  "My school is better than your school."  Really?  That's what a Carroll man is reduced to?  You come off looking like a pompous jerk, and it's unfortunate that you and I are associated with the same university.

In my best Joe Tait voice "slam with the right hand"

I thought it was more like Cosell's famous "down goes Frazier! Down goes Frazier!"
