Developments in the desert (not dessert, sorry hscoach)...

It looks like I will be a varsity offensive coordinator next football season.  There are some changes in the staff and the HC (also D-Coord) says he has all the confidence he needs to give me the reigns on offense.  I'm a little skeptical since I just finished my first season as a freshman OC but if he believes in me it's a chance I can't really overlook.  I'm glad I had to step in for the final three games as a JV OC now too.  Should be interesting...

Maybe you can get some pointers from CarrollStreaks?

Oh, and congrats!
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Last reminder to get your playoff pick-em's in.  I'm still missing picks from a few of the regulars.

Congrats!  Welcome to the world of the "second guess".....remember to always blame the defense for bad field position (and, thereby, limiting your playbook to off-tackle).

I'm cheering for the Raiders, but I'm glad to see Coach Sirianni getting a shot at the best.  Mike is a great guy, and I'm happy for his success!!

Mount Union is only responsible for bringing down football in the rest of the OAC if John Carroll is the reason Mount Union has a crappy basketball team.

(NOTE FOR THE INHERENTLY SLOW AND QUICK TO JUMP TO CONCLUSIONS) The above is what my son used to refer to as Daddy being "seasous."  At least at five he understood the word if he couldn't say it.

Wow, the PAC board is snooze if your looking for W&J fans. We can "prolly" sit in the W&J section.
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

Congrats, RC.  Best of luck.

Kirasdad,
thanks for the article! gotta love LK;

"Naturally, I want them to do well," he said. "My responsibility is to get our team ready to play. I try not to think about it. I'm sure they want to put their foot up my butt."  ;D
Dr Acula
great synopsis!  I was at the scrimmage in August and can say Mount, except for one drive, pretty much moved the ball at will. Not that it means anything going into a game 3 months later and each team knowing their starters. I do know if the game gets anything like the scrimmage was then both teams might turn it into a hockey match or some WWF event and charge a higher admission. Don't think chaz has forgot about it, believe me! LOL

RC
congrats man! Next step the OHIO STATE OC! All that talent there and not sure how to use it! hmmmmmm ..........oh well GO BUCKS !!! and ROLL RAIDERS ROLL!!

BTW, where are all those good Michigan jokes we usually had piled up in here by now???

section13raiderfan

If Caponi, Stickley and Sirianni were to wear their championship rings to this weekends playoff game against MUC, would that incentivize their players or demoralize them? Im not sure how I would take it myself if I played for W&J.

If MUC were to go indepenent as suggested, would ABC give them an exclusive TV contract like Notre Dame?

If the people who want MUC to leave the OAC... and D3 even... were to be appointed scheduling Czar......who would you "appoint" to the mandated schedule as worthy opponents and why? Would you be making matches to punish MUC, or the opponent? Who exactly would you want to see them play anyway? Boise State maybe?

Come to think of it...Im sick of the SEC Conference teams and their superior attitudes. Make em play Semi Pro teams and see how good they really are. ::)

Oh yeah, I forgot....a tip-o-da- hat to Case. Prepare to be hated too, if you keep this up! ;)

Section13,

The SEC is playing against Semi- pro teams already.. Non scholly D2 and D3 football is the last of the amateur football players.

Tressel makes over 2 mil. The Ohio governor doesn't make 10 percent of that. That's pro football

And the governor deserves 10% of what he makes.
