Rams1102:  Do you know whether the upset MSU fans were listening to the broadcast inside the stadium via portable radios or were they getting phone calls from someone listening at home via the internet?
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

I would also suggest that whoever is in control not allow you to be heard during commercial breaks.  We could hear everything you were saying during breaks.

HScoach

We know the commercial breaks are over the web.  That's nothing new.

Interesting comments about our Number 11 being a thug.  Of course you guys were angels and only reacted to being frustrated because the refs were calling a poor game.   Right!   Well speaking of thugs, I was at the game and observed your number 17 taking cheap shots, late hits, taunting and otherwise obnoxious behaviors.   He should have been ejected.   Things turned from bad to worse when MSU players realized they could not win.  I realize frustration can cause many problems but using foul comments on the field should be prohibited.

The calls were from home. Your # 11 is a thug, but everyone else from Mount Union are class acts. ;)
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

Spreads for Round 3 have been posted.

Rams1102:  Thanks for the info.  Other than the outcome, glad you enjoyed your trip to Alliance.  Safe travels going home.

Nice Win Mount!! I really wanted 70, was not happy with the MSU fan base.  Bring on Albright.  Go Raiders!

raidertown

MOUNT sure likes to "smell blood" as Albright will be the third straight opponent, that sports the color RED

Just back to the Hotel after the game.

Everyone I met today from Mount Union were class acts. Very friendly and helpful. JT was correct about the buffet before the game. It is an event not to miss. The campus is beautiful. It was a wonderful experience. I got to meet Rascl but we could not find you Seventies. Where were you. I sat on the 50 yard line all the way on top. This MUC fan Waine was there and a real good guy. We had a lot of fun. Now down to the facts as I seen them:

The banner that states "The Machine" is well said. They are a machine and do everything perfect. If you make a mistake, you pay. We got wacked and we shot ourselves in the foot too many times. We sort of kept it in reach at half and continued to shoot ourselves in the foot. 5-6 picks against any team is not a recipt for success, especially MUC.

The Refs lost control of the game. MUC would hold (this is not sour grapes) and the refs would look the other way, leading to frustration. Waine even agreed with me. Then later in the game the refs would start to throw the flag, but it was too late. Please do not think that the refs cost us the game. They did not, but rather lost control of It. Your #11 was a thug and should have been tossed. It did not happen. I thought Coach K would have pulled the kid. Yes we did retaliate aginst #11 and it should not of happened, but the player reacted out of frustration. Then Coach K pulled him. Basically the refs caused this.

The MSU fans were getting calls about the radio announcer making dumb comments about MSU and NJ. I did not hear, but had to assume they were true. Yes 2 fans were yelling up at the booth and speaking their minds.

Congratulations to MUC, you guys are the real deal and in my opinion will be in the Stagg Bowl again. MUC is a great college and the people I met were class acts. Thanks for the experience. Next time, we owe you one.  :)

Rams, YOU are a class act.  How refreshing and edifying it is to have your participation on the OAC message boards this week, and I especially appreciated your assessment of today's game from your perspective.  It's this kind of shared participation that makes the D3 discussion interesting and engaging, especially for this football novice.  I thought MSU's  O-Line did a good job of protecting your quarterback, especially in the first half, and you managed  to stop our run on several occasions.  I hope your injured players heal well, and that we might look forwad to a second contest in the foreseeable future.

Of course, having said all that, I GREATLY look forward to hearing Ric and Mark's podcast tomorrow evening! ;D

That's where I've learned most everything I kind of think about MUC football.  Except for when it came to heralding Nick Driskill:  Him I saw with my own two eyes before M and R taught me to pay attention.

For me, the Raiders' emotional investment turned on Herbert's big play in the MSU backfield.  Can't remember the details, but after that the energy picked up.  Mine did anyway.

By the way, on our side of the field, there was holding galore and our receivers were getting mugged before catches and after out of bounds. So, the calls were going goofy both ways.

Yup.   The refs were definitely letting them play.

I really think the MSU fans need to get a towel and go sit in a corner to cry. There was holding on both sides of the ball, all afternoon. Some MSU fans were encouraging the thug like play and actually applauded the team when someone would get in a cheap shot and get away with it. You would expect that from a student, but then maybe some of the brains have not fully developed yet. I don't know who the guy in the press box was that kept calling complaints from his perch down to the MUC fans, but he finally realized it would be best to just keep quiet. From my position, you had just as many, if not more, THUGS as you call them on the field, but I think that goes with your personna. Most of you complained from the time you arrived here, maybe you can complain to each other going home. I hope you have a safe trip.
