Nice article about the Albright coach--reminds me a bit of the LK philosophy about good men to play football.

Nice article.  Thanks for the link.

Thanks.  Good story about a great teacher and coach.  Albright sounds like a great place to play.

Great read. Sounds like things are heading in the right direction.

We know the commercial breaks are over the web.  That's nothing new.

But if you are discussing things that really shouldn't go out on the air then maybe you should kill your mics until the commercial breaks are over or play music out over the net.

My cousin had satellite tv back in its early days and would get the live feed of NFL games.  The most entertaining part of these broadcasts was during the commercial breaks.  The announcers would let their hair down and make comments about players, coaches, fans, cheerleaders that gave much more insight about the atmosphere of the game than most of what went out over the regular broadcast.  Pat Summerall and John Madden were the best.  Their banter was occasionally "R" rated at best, but they always managed to tone it back after the break.  Saturday's webcast reminded me of those days, for better or worse. :)

If you saw the NFL Network game on Thanksgiving, you saw JCU alum Josh McDaniels drop a couple R rated words.  Strangely, it was on a replay of a pep talk he was giving...so not only did the language not get dumped on the delay, but someone, somewhere chose to play a clip with McDaniels dropping the MF bomb on television.  It was wild.

Pat Coleman

I didn't think that was a replay. Pretty sure it was live on the sidelines. It was right after they botched a possession and ... settled for a field goal, or punted, or something.

Back from the land of no computers (my Mom's apt.) I see that the MUC juggernaut is going strong as the season climbs to the climax ----- in Salem, perhaps!!  It sure sounds like a great possibility!!  Hope to see all my internet buds there.  I'll have the brownies as per usual.  Somebody else will have to supply the team as we didn't get to the play-offs this year.  But Stone Station will be there, never fear!!

KEEP ON DOING THAT THING YOU ALL DO BEST!!  WIN!!

Olinemom, you gotta do something with the brownies to entice the "powers that be" or better known as ESPN to quit putting the D3 football National Championship on the backburner to such things as Sister Josephine's basketball tournament, the 14th annual Texas hold'ems jamboree or the Detroit 9-ball billiards bonanza....I mean come on!.......It does nothing but kill the tailgating with an 11AM kickoff and i'm sure especially for Stone Station and their great group of guys its really unfair!
Got two more to go, then we can look at being in Salem!....bright and early. Can't imagine what it will be like if Linfield makes the Stagg and people back home gotta get up for an 8am football game!..... hmmmmmmmmm The best Stagg yet was 2001 Bridgewater and Mount going toe to toe at primetime under the lights! >>>>>>>>>>SWEET!

You have no idea...I was living in Los Angeles last year during the Stagg, 8 AM kick-offs are horrible...but the end result was pretty nice.

anyone heard anything about Panchik's injury?  are we looking at another ARob/Kmic situation for the rest of the playoffs?

Spent the holiday weekend in Ohio and managed to miss completely everything football related while I was home.  Congrats to Mount on another convincing win.  Saintsfan was working to get me in on the JHU/TMC webcast but the plans didn't line up although that sounded like a helluva ballgame too.

I did see Coach Place over the weekend.  He moved from his old place near UD and even though he's all-Hamilton right now he still has his C-J stuff up in the yard.  He's mailing me the playbook because it slipped his mind during the short week of school.

Yeah... the power running should do you well out there.  Get those kids to get tougher and you'll smash the opponents in the mouth.   I actually saw Chris Wells at a Xavier game two weeks ago.  He was talkin about how much he loves working for Coach Place and also that he's continuing his MMA career --

Raider 68

Looks like the Raiders will see a lot of passing against them Saturday, since Albright does not have much of a running game. Mount pass defense needs to respond. I noticed from the STO tape that they only rushed 3 DL most of the earlier part of the game. That takes away IMO from the agressive approach from past games. We will see what they do against a better QB!

That has been my main concern with the defense. Since taking over the "D", VK's defensive scheme was much more aggressive with a number of blitz packages. Since the BW game we seem to have gone away from that

I watched the McDaniels sideline snafu and they intro'd it by saying something to the effect of "here's Josh McDaniels addressing his offensive line...".  That lead me to believe it was on a delay or a taped piece that noone was smart enough to listen to.  Even if it was live, they had to know what they would be getting into by zooming in on the HC when his team just screwed themselves over with three false starts in 5 plays.  What were they thinking?  We were surprised it made the air but even after the first obvious f-bomb there was more colorful language that they simply lowered the volume on rather than cut the audio completely.  It was handled poorly from a production level.

Interesting Fact from the MUC Game Notes for the Albright Game:

QuoteIRONMAN

Fifth year senior defensive end Joe Millings (Copley/Copley) has played more college football than anyone in history as he plays in his 60th game this week.  He played in two games in 2005 before being injured then has played in every game in 2006-present.    Millings has another career record with 48.0 tackles for loss which edges out former Raider and current Toledo assistant coach Matt Campbell who had 47.0 from 1999-2002.  Millings leads the Raiders with 10.5 sacks and 18.0 tackles for loss this season and was awarded the Paul Hoernemann Award given to the OAC's top defensive lineman and named for the former Heidelberg coach.

Sounds as though Panchik is done.  Unfortunately, it is the OTHER knee with this injury.  Sorry to see his career come to an end this way......he was a real plus to the offense......run, Terrance, run  ;)

From a guy whose had 5 knee surgeries, I'm sad to here about Panchik's other knee. Hard to wait so patiently and then get your time cut short. OK, I guess it's Zac Lemon time. Saw some impressive moves from him in the W&J scrimmage. He may be a little quicker to the hole than either Terrence or Panchik.

I dont know if you watched the Mount replay, but the Montclair State receiver injury replay was sick...dislocated elbow, almost as sickening as the Theismann leg replay....Panchick reportedly torn ACL, gone...Morring has carried load, and Lemon has looked very good
