A few random thoughts before I head to the stadium:

Was great seeing everyone last night at the Wing Warehouse.

Picking on Pat is fine, but leave Keith alone.  He's a good guy.

Skunk:  Congrats and good luck.

Mr. Mom:  Your family is in our prayers.

It's official that Whitewater has risen to "rival" status in my screwed up mind.  I've been thinking all week that I'm OK with Mount losing today as long as Linfield takes down Whitewater too.   Kind of like OSU/Michigan.  If your team can't be succesful it's OK if your rival sucks too!

Call me crazy, but I have a really bad feeling about this game for the following reasons:
1.  It's been 2 months since Mount has played a team capable of hanging within 30 points even on the opponent's best day.  Not the best of preparation.
2.  Without Panchik, I'm really worried about Mount's running game against a fast defense.  God bless Morring's work ethic and effort after all the knee injuries, but he is really a FB playing TB.
3.  Mount's O-line has struggled against quick DE's.  See Marietta game with Adam Tate needing to be double teamed to keep him from camping out in the backfield.
4.  The previous Wesley semi-final debacles will help the coaching staff this time around and I think they'll match up better physically with Mount (speed) than Whitewater (power).
5.  I've been off my meds for a few days and am starting to hear voices again.  Not good.

Safe travels to all heading to the game.

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

After carefully analyzing all overt, covert and other unavailable data plus the inside scoop from the boards and D3.com:

Mount 31, if they break recent inclination to miss a single PAT...
Wesley 21, wow, tie for most points scored on Mount in 2009

Closer than usually solid intuition would suggest and contrary to taking Mount on the OAC pic-ems.

Keith

I hope you don't crash until after the game.  ;D Or we will have to watch a quiet video!!

Mount Union posters.

It's been a pleasure reading and interacting with you this week. It's nice for a change to trade incite instead of insults which happen more than  not when teams face each other. Good luck to both teams.
Football !!! The ultimate team sport. Anyone who plays DIII football is a winner...

Yep, this is when Beenh2h  and I ASSUME that the "kid" from Diamond has one more up his sleeve. You'll never convince my wife that anybody else spends more time researching this stuff than I do ;D, when she walks in the room and your droning on and on in a podcast or sends me off to preseason practice, scrimmages  or the OAC preview. It's just that I'm an "expert" with one eye (and his big mouth) open and I could care less about the other 200 plus teams.

It's just that the list of people whose "chops" we can bust has grown expotentionaly smaller.

Got go find my "K" bell  ;)
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

Good luck to the Purple Raiders and the Wolverines today. I hope everyone attending has a GREAT time!

I have read a lot in the last couple of weeks about a certain few fans showing disrespect/antagonizing fans and players from the opposing team. I have no way of knowing whether it's true or overblown. I hope that doesn't happen today. Certainly a team making it to the semi-finals of the playoffs deserves a measure of respect (actually common decency would call for all opponents deserving respect). That being said, both teams' fans have every right to cheer HARD for their team today! Again, I just hope everyone there can have a great time!

I have to man-up and admit I see things from a new perspective from last year. (is that the same thing as saying I was www...rrrrrrr...ong?)

I jabbed some Mount fans last year because they were saying they wanted UWW to win in the Semi's so Mount could have a shot at them after the 07 Stagg Bowl. I didn't believe you. I thought you were beating your chests, but inside really wanted UWW to lose so you would have the best chance to win the championship. Many of you claimed vigorously there was nothing you wanted more than another shot at UWW. I now understand what you were feeling and saying.

I read HSCoach's post about the rival thing and wanting UWW to lose. Maybe the whole perspective hinges on which team wants redemption. Mount has nothing to prove to UWW. UWW has much to prove against Mount.

Obviously no Mount/Wesley score will be even remotely close to being as important to me as UWW winning. But, as I watch the scoreboard today, I will be rooting for Mount Union to win. UWW/Mount Union 5 is the game I'm hoping for next week. But both teams have business to take care of today.

May all four teams bring their A game and remain injury free! And may all the fans demonstrate the same level of class that the players of each program normally do on the field.

Had to refresh my browser already to get the video to reload.  Hope I don't have to keep doing this all game.

Two stupids plays by both quarterbacks. Interception by McSweeney, and a poor decision to take on a safety by Rocco.

Mount's defense is ready. Rocco is running around with the pressure.

dedragon

McSweeney trumps Rocco again.

McSweeny ain't no Tim Tebow!
