Why is the Kurt Rocco injury being kept such a secret?

This isn't D1 FB with sideline reporters.  I'm sure more will come out later.  Also, I'm sure LK will keep the news close to his vest.  Makes UWW focus more on the Cecil Shorts-Wildcat Defense.

getting news from the Mount locker room is like getting injury information from Bill Belechick.....the scuttlebutt is Millings is out for next week.  I cannot imagine Rocco NOT having a concussion.  a couple parts of his helmet flew 8 yards downfield....

What a great defensive effort...different guys making play after play...
Felt sorry for Seaman.  He just was not ready and not enough reps for this kind of pressure.  He will I believe be a championship QB at MUC

I also thought that Morring looked like a FB and Lemon looked like a TB when he got his shot...they jut could not chance Lemon fumbling again...And if Cecil is to take all the snaps next week, ball security had better be on his mind

If Rocco doesn't get speared, they score 40+.

Thank you Wesley Special Teams for your many gifts
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

It looked like the second hit on Rocco on that play was the one that caused the injury.  Seemed kind of cheap until I realized the ball had been jarred loose on the first hit.

???

He was out on his feet when Benson it him. His body went limp. And he dropped the ball.

Pretty good crowd on hand for one of Mount's best victories! A great team effort against a solid Wesley team that did bring their "A" game. In an earlier post I felt Mount would win 31-14, so it was close to that. A agree with seventies, with Rocco, the entire game, it would have more than 17 pts.

Now is is time for Whitewater, will be an interesting game week, with the intrique of Kurt Rocco' status in the Stagg, just for openers!

Oh please. Just when you get a little adversity, you cry afoul. Benson knocked his socks off as clean as two guys going in the exact opposite direction could.

PA_wesleyfan

Wesley did not bring their A game today. And that's a fact. They played hard and made a few unforced mistakes and to Mount Unions credit they took advantage of them. I hope yor team can gfo donw to the Stagg and put a sock in the WW fans for another year. Rocca by rule can't return to the game if the drs. or trainers even think he had a concussion. I hope you team is healthy next week for the Stagg and once again good luck

Hey Conrad! glad you could join us last night, was a great time!

WOW! i was at the other end of the stadium when Rocco got hit and you could hear the crack BIGTIME, though Rocco got up and wanted back in as he was throwing the ball along the sideline a few minutes later, i beleive LK was knew from the hit he took he wasn't gambling on him getting any further injury. smart choice. Wesley had some serious size and decent speed, and truly played a terrific game. I congratulate the Wolverines on a great season and making the game a great challenge to the finish.

Awesome defense wins games and for sure that was the difference today! Just incredible to keep bringing it , not sure how many sacks Mount had, but the relentless pursuit kept Sweeney on the move. A very good QB as you indicated Conrad, very scrappy, actually surprised he got up a few times from the shots he took both on the run and in the pocket!
BIG KUDOS to Matt Williamson, James Herbert, and #12, (the name escapes me now) and the whole defense in general. They stepped it up even more when the offense struggled to get back in psych.
ONE MORE WEEK!! LETS GO RAIDERS!

Conrad,
My bad.  I only saw it live, as the NCAA's wonderful media decided it needed to "Load" right after the play.
Thanks for clearing things up for me.

I know you are a stellar program MU with witch I hold in high regard and hope UMHB models, but I now look at you as I do the Yankees....I am a Red Sox fan.

I hope you play well enough to lose next week!  ;)
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

I think that is a NFL rule.  I don't know if it exists in NCAA.  who is Rocca?

Point of Emphasis from the 2009-10 Rules and Interpretations:
QuoteCONCUSSIONS: Coaches and medical personnel should exercise
prudence in making return-to-play decisions when a student-athlete suffers
a concussion.

Forgot the ;).  Yes it would.  LK knew they could probably win without him today and I'm fairly confident that he has his players Health as his #1 concern, prior to winning ANY game.  I'm sure he would rather lose today's game than risk a serious injury and that is why he didn't put Rocco back in.
