The second quarter was dominated by Mount Union and that's where they won the game. Neither team scored but the Raiders, trying to regroup without its starting quarterback, held the ball for 9:29 and limited the Wolverines to one eight-play, 41-yard drive after the interception.

The Raiders threw the ball only twice in the quarter (freshman quarterback Neal Seaman was one of two for 21 yards), but still managed 18 plays for 81 yards compared to Wesley's 10 for 43.

The final drive of the half was a thing of beauty. Starting on its own five, the Raiders ran 11 plays, all on the ground, for 51 yards, and ran out the final 5:13 on the clock.

Think about this. Wesley began the quarter down 10, with a second and goal at the MTU five, and were dominated in the period. The game was won in that quarter.

Now, looking ahead to next week. What will the Raiders do if Rocco can't play? Should they even make the trip to Salem?  Well, my opinion is, while Larry Kehres does lose football games, after all, it has happened 21 times in 24 years, he is a master at finding a way.  Look at what he did on the fly yesterday.  I think he'll come up with something.

Rocco has had some issues with seizures and I think LK is smart in handling it the way he did.

well, finally got home, a long drive that started with frezzing rain leaving alliance and continued with what turned out to be 8 hours of rain, usually the very heavy variety.  Still worth the trip.

first, i would like to thank, skunks, skunkssidekick, raiderfan, and the other gentleman who we met for breakfast.  the football talk was great and it was interesting listening to you guys talk about wesley with great respect.  a double thanks for picking up the tab, totally unexpected, but greatly appreciated.

saw mtfan and seventies at the game also, no theaprof or waterboy.  also had a couple of other mount people say hi to me while in the stands watching the game.

didnt make wing warehouse friday night, but took the college kids there last night and we are wondering where they get wings that look almost like turkey legs, they were huge.

I will see you guys in salem.  Skunkssidekick, i will pm you when i have more info about friday night.
