Wilmington might be in the market for a new Head Football Coach soon:

wonder if they'll hire a MUC alum  ;)

I just watched the UWW-Linfield game.  I hope that Mount can at least use the trip to Virginia as a team-bonding experience.  There is no way that Mount will be able to exploit the UWW defense with play-action passes to the TE's like Linfield did or be able to pressure the UWW QB to throw off his back foot routinely like the Wildcats, not to mention that Troney guy looks a lot better this year.  at least we'll get some commercial time on ESPN2  ;D

Good points!  The exposure on the deuce between a hunting or fishing program and women's college air hockey or poker is probably worth the cost of fuel for one team bus to Salem.  Why even bother, those darn 'Hawks would probably crush us if we were at full health :-[

Just received this from a friend in Roanoke. Pretty good article about the upcoming Stagg Bowl.
http://www.roanoke.com/sports/college/wb/229774

Throw Rocco, Throw, Throw, Throw!!!
Pass Cecil, Pass, Pass, Pass !!!
Run Zac,Run,Run, Run !!!
Go Cecil GO,Go, Go !!!

Just thought I would add to the what they gonna do next situation

"They're at a different level," said Randolph-Macon coach Pedro Arruza, whose team lost to Mount Union in last year's playoffs. "If you're a kid in Ohio who's not going to go play Division I football, then you're going to go to Mount Union. That makes a big difference. If every kid in Virginia that wasn't going to go play at Virginia Tech, Virginia or one of the I-AAs came to Randolph-Macon, can you imagine how good we would be?"

I think Mr Arruza is quite mistaken.

With 39 other Ohio schools, the Raiders draw talent from 15 other states
besides Ohio. Florida and PA provide some key talent. This representation
has grown considerably over the last decade.

If they are not big enough, or fast enough, or skilled enough to be recruited  by any d1 school and have access to a hundred plus grand and are lucky enough to get some work/study or grants, And they are willing to work for years for the chance to play they come to Mount Union unless Walsh or Malone come through. Or Muskingum tells em they'll play as freshman or Wittenberg tells em they are the Kings of D3 Football

The RMC coach isn't any better at logic than play calling. Apparently if they don't go to Tech or Virginia, they don't go to Randolph-Macon EITHER

I remember in 2007 the Louisville-UAB college basketball game ran late on EPSN2....the game was a blow out from what I remember. Yet they didn't cut over to the Stagg Bowl until after that dumb b-ball game was officialy over  ::) 2 to 3 minutes into the game!!!

Look at the names of the Coaches listed by the players (Kehres, Montgomery, Raeburn, Sirianni)

Man, it would really suck to lose to a team spotting you 3 all-conference or better level players  ;D

Let's give 'em something to talk about

Curious...if there was a game for third place who takes it...Linfield or Wesley?

Come back Rocco, come back!

I believe Cecil can fly!

ok mount folks, the lamenting about injuries and other missing people is getting rather mundane.  you know, just as most of us who follow D3 know, that mount has plenty of weapons ready to play.  stop with the woe is me stuff and be honest about the teams chances.  the offense will not miss much of a beat if they go with shorts instead of rocco, hardly a number 3 QB since he was considered to start in camp.  the defense misses nothing with the changes.  I will give you the RB issue, i didnt see Pencik? play except online so I dont know how good he was and the replacements didnt impress on saturday.  UWWW has plenty to worry about getting ready for the game and the longer that mount keeps the QB situation quiet the better.  Since this is not the pros or major college, i dont think LK needs to say anything other then someone will play QB when the game starts Saturday.  Just stop with the whining, it is not becoming of you.

Kira & Jaxon's Dad

I think all the "woe is me" stuff has been done tongue-in-cheek.  Used to have a lot of pre-game boasting/smack talk on these boards but since this is UWW-MUC Part V, you are pretty much seeing mutual admiration on the boards.

I do think that MUC is the underdog this year.  UWW had so much coming back this year and with the Pancheck/Millings/Rocco situation, it makes the Warhawks favored even more.

I am excited to see what LK pulls out for the Game.  The coaching is the X-Factor in this game and LK certainly has the edge IMO.

Wesleydad, what do you mean, planning breakfast with someone other than Stone Station on Saturday?  That's got to be a mistake!!  Tell him to bring his gravy and stuff over and we will all join in and have a great time.  I'm leaving tomorrow for Salem.  planning to go to the Gagliardi banquet and the team luncheon.  I love this time of year!!!!!  Can't wait to see you guys!!

Last year the MUC breakfast was just one row over from Stone Station. I wanted to partake in the Stone Station line, but it was too darn LONG!  :)
