As always in big games , line play the most important thing.  Can we bang with the big boys from Wisc. for 4 quarters?  If we can hold our own ,toe to toe,  we have an excellent chance of pulling one out.  Who wants it the most?  The intangible factors of desire plus grit.The eye of the Tiger.  { cat not golfer}

Man, we can't catch a break. We can't gloat and we can't whine.

Real food? Isn't everybody standing in line for gooey donuts and lukewarm hot chocolate in the MUC tent?

No travel trailer-The Jeep won't be out of the shop till next week. Looks like another 18 hour round trip.

If the post game interviews with the defensive players mean anything, they are dedicated to "Whatever it takes"

olinemom, there is no doubt that my Allegiance is to stone station but as you can see the word has a double meaning. :D  Having traveled around I get the pleasure of being welcomed by 2 great groups of people.  Is it cheating if your number 1 knows that you are seeing your number 2?  as long as neither group brings golf clubs I think I will be OK.

Kirasdad, I know the tongue in cheek, but I want some of the smack talk back.  2 more days of this and I think you 2 teams may be singing koom by ya together.

I think all the "woe is me" stuff has been done tongue-in-cheek.  Used to have a lot of pre-game boasting/smack talk on these boards but since this is UWW-MUC Part V, you are pretty much seeing mutual admiration on the boards.

I am excited to see what LK pulls out for the Game.  The coaching is the X-Factor in this game and LK certainly has the edge IMO.

Agree with you there, k-dad, about the t-in-c stuff. No fan of UWW takes any of "woe is me" seriously. The X-Factor comes with the territory ~ he's earned it and definitely the edge to LK...but, in 20 some-odd years we might be saying the same of LL. A legacy has to start somewhere. Beating LK twice in a Stagg Bowl would be a good way to begin climbing to the summit of the X-Factor mount(ain).

Someone posted on freehuddle (renegade site of JJ) that they have received confirmation that Rocco is practicing and playing. So with that "confirmation" I will consider his status to still be up in the air, and lean towards him not playing.

Lol, I really hope he can play, but there seem to be quite a few "confirmations" floating around when LK himself doesn't seem to know yet.

Jury still out on LL.  Didn't really handle the Weight-Room-Gate Incident very well.  ;)

Also, I have a bit more respect for Brez. as he built what LL is actually getting current credit for.  LL came in as a hired gun (yes I know he is a WW alum) but everything was there for him when he arrived.

Trust me.....(and I know SOME of you know...not the D-III guys)..the Rocco "situation" is far from being decided.....and it doesn't look good.  Actually....if I had to bet...it's 70% against.

Shorts to Shorts to Shorts....... ;D

Pat...I have met you....talked you..emailed you.....drank BEER with you.  Why does it seem that in the last few years you have this snippy, "I am Pat", "I built this from nothing" attitude about your posts, attitudes, and predictions.  Damn.....most Mount people think you are really cool for what you have done, and your objective, but passionate insight into the games.

Pat......(and Keith).....we really LIKE you guys....quit being so contrary to be contrary.  We don't like you because you "say nice things about Mount".  We like you for your passion to do what you do.  It's all good......really!

I mentioned in an earlier post that we will not know who will play QB for the Raiders until 11 AM on Saturday.

1. The coaching staff does not know at this point

2. When they do know everyone will know on Saturday and not before.

Frankly, I am optimistic and think we will see both K. Rocco at QB as well
as Cecil at QB/WR. Not sure if we see that much of N. Seaman.

All your back-handed slaps aside, If UWW wins on sat, beating LK twice in Stagg Bowls will carry some importance.  Many Mount posters see UWW winning on saturday, some tongue-in-cheek, some not.

Just saying after 3 seasons LK HC'ing record was 23-8-1, our "hired gun" is 41-4 with 1 game remaining - that's a damn good start to a HC'ing career regardless who or what you followed. No slap at Brez because he did so much for UWW during his coaching career and more, but that's even better then the last 3 years of Brez's coaching career (28-5). BTW, in your view, is everyone who follows a retiring head coach a "hired gun?" If so, would that make LK a hired gun, too?!!  ;)

Last year the MUC breakfast was just one row over from Stone Station. I wanted to partake in the Stone Station line, but it was too darn LONG!  :)

Then just go to the front of the line. Hell, "10 time Stagg Bowl Champion" should get you somewhere close to the front. ;)

We even rub shoulders with beenhit2hard even though he keeps showing that championship ring from 2001! :o
