Didn't see this Terry Pluto story posted yet.  Good read if you get a second.  Sounds like Cecil is a good kid as well as a great player.  He also mentions in it that Cecil has another year of eligibility if he so chooses due to an ankle injury his freshman year.

The Bucs will continue to pay Jags and fired dc Jim Bates through 2014, according to recent St. Pete Times article.  Bates is also receiving payments from Denver and until recently from Miami.  Mount had a former Kent coach who was still being paid by KSU help out a few years back.

Last year the MUC breakfast was just one row over from Stone Station. I wanted to partake in the Stone Station line, but it was too darn LONG! 

Then just go to the front of the line. Hell, "10 time Stagg Bowl Champion" should get you somewhere close to the front.

We even rub shoulders with beenhit2hard even though he keeps showing that championship ring from 2001!

And this year I will wear the 93 ring,,trying not to offend anyone  I am glad the page is moving today,,I am subbing in In school suspension,,very slow day

In response to the poll question: Hope Mount doesn't wear the black pants.  That's UWWW's thing.  I'm partial to the clean look of white over white, but the white jerseys over purple has grown on me.  Also, is this finals week, or was that last week?  Don't recall seeing it posted last week.

The last Mount Union loss was in 2007 Stagg (White/White).  I don't really like the White/Black, but I think the players do.

It must be official now...the NCAA has updated the website for an 11 am kickoff.

I already bought my ticket by phone, but just for kicks, I went through the Ticketmaster link and started going through the process to buy a ticket, mostly just to see what was available.

I said 1 ticket, Any Price, and Best Available section, and it came back saying that there weren't any tickets that fit that description!  Don't worry folks, the game isn't sold out, but it looks like you may need to call the box office:  540-375-3004 to get tickets.

According to the alumi website the only tickets available online are on the home side.  Mount is on the visitor side this year.  Hope we have a group of drunk kids in front of us again this year.  Brought back old memories .8)

I hate the white/black color combination too.  All white, all black are fine but not mixed together.  It looks like ONU is playing with the wrong helmets.

My favorite road uni's are white over purple.  Followed by all white.

May favorite home uni's are all purple.  Followed by black over purple.  Then all black.

This week is finals week at MUC.  Kids were finishing up exams today, and then depart for Stagg this afternoon......busy week (but they should have this down to a science)

I know the players love the black unies, but can't really figure how they fit into the school color scheme.  What do I know, I had my girls basketball team wear pink unies for a cancer awareness game and our colors are black & gold.  I also wore a sporty pink shirt for the event .  I see the fear of all white again, but Mount was clad in all white in '05 and had a great game in winning the first annual UWWW vs. MUC champ game.  

I realize I don't post very often prior to this week each year, but from late July to the second week of December each year my days are a bit long and busy.  Looking forward to this weekend!

 The last five times down I've bought my seats in Salem. Part of my ritual. Unless to want to crammed in the center section in the first 10 rows there is always seat up high. Or you can stand on the south hill with Kevin and I. 12 hours of driving in 24 hours, my poor back is going to need to be straight for a while. Won't sell out.


As a former coach, I recall seeing all these great uniform options and they almost always had black as at least an accent. Got all the lectures about how our colors were green and white. One in a while, they'd agree that green and black with white letters or maybe a side panel was ok.

Point is, all anything is too much. I'm a Raider through and through but all purple, all white, plain white jerseys over plain any color pants, gag. Who know, maybe there's a new jersey set out there. I fully expect the black pants
