In response to the poll question: Hope Mount doesn't wear the black pants.  That's UWWW's thing.  I'm partial to the clean look of white over white, but the white jerseys over purple has grown on me.  Also, is this finals week, or was that last week?  Don't recall seeing it posted last week.

I hate the white/black color combination too.  All white, all black are fine but not mixed together.  It looks like ONU is playing with the wrong helmets.

My favorite road uni's are white over purple.  Followed by all white.

May favorite home uni's are all purple.  Followed by black over purple.  Then all black.

If you look at the uniform combo, a picture on D3 of Lutz as a Gag finalist
wearing white jesey and purple pants really looked great!

White over black does look a bit like ONU and UWW last year. In 2003 Mount wore the white/purple and in 2007 wore all white. No one liked the outcome in 2003, but I still liked the combination of uniforms.

After all the years of coaching,,I thought it was our planning, practicing, conditioning, etc that won the game. Now I see it is the Uniform combo that makes the difference,,this could revolutionize coaching !! ::)

If possible, please have your picks in by Thursday.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

I'm sure those elements play a minor role in a team's preparation.  More important is the spats, wristbands, do-rag, socks, and especially the right logo.  Had a kid on my son's pee wee team this year wear a Reebok jersey, Under Armour shoes, Addidas socks, Nike wristbands and chin guard, Schutt helmet, and Rawlings pants to practice one day.  We decided he either had a variety of sponsorship deals or little brand loyalty, but he looked sharp doing it.

He is just a cross-dresser.

I always thought that if you felt good you played better, and looking good always made me feel better!  ;)

If you doubt the widsom of this, just ask Oregon.   ;)  I've heard that they have a rediculous number of possible combinations of helmets, jerseys, pants, socks, etc.

Has Oregon worn the same uniform combo more than once over the past few years?

According to a 2006 USA Today article...384.  2009 Oregonian article says 80.

Maybe Oregon will come up with another against the Buckeyes!

I remember playing against the Massillon Tigers  just after the Joe Sparma era ( Leo Strang HC). Massillon was the first HS team to wear white shoes, but back then they were painted every week.

A former teammate at Mount who went there told me they weighed a ton. Both of their home and away iniforms looked the best I had every seen and then they did a parade lap around the field as their game warm-up (later stopped) for intimidating the other team and it worked!

If you never had a black leather motorcycle jacket you don't understand the "attitude" that goes with certain colors and clothes. Personally, I'll vote against oversized hoodies and baggy pants hanging half way down the thighs. But I'm betting Oregon has a set ;)
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

Beat me to it.  I was about to enroll you in HSCoach's Quoting 101 class in Salem again.  I think you just forgot one of the "]" at the end, prior to your post.
