For those interested, my first UWW/Mount Union look is posted:

"Goliath vs Goliath"

www.uwwfootball.blogspot.com

can a one-time champ really be called a "Goliath?"  The five title games in a row is tremendously impressive, but come on

Just hadn't heard from ya in awhile Suit, thought it was time to get reacquainted with only a couple days before THE GAME!  ;D

And UWW will gladly concede the Goliath title to MUC. In case you never heard the story, Goliath LOST! It can be found in 1 Samuel Chapter 17.

Oh, that's in the Bible, Suit. Maybe your neighbor has one you can borrow....  ;D

fables are fun to tell....but trust me my mount alumni base has plenty of bibles, you know the whole private college thing...its not like we're a state school

also, I may or may not have seen Rocco in a red practice jersey today

Having fun visualizing Cecil with his slingshot and stones taking down the cheeseheads ;)

My plans are on hold till this time tomorrow. Just got a new flat screen and my basement is about as warm as Roanoke. We'll see.
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

Snow doesn't worry me for the game.  Wind and rain affect a passing game.  Snow is not an issue as long as the wind and temps are moderate.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

WIMP!!! Get on your bicycle and ride to the game!!  What's 16" of snow??  That's nothing--I remember the winter of '77-'78--now that was a winter--anyway we were just getting back to school and were walking uphill both ways through.......
Reloading--Again, and again, and again....

mtfan,
Hope you are still going down for the game. Snowbourbon balls for breakfast perhaps? Might be good for those guys that have plows on front of their buggies, they could possibly make some money cleaning out the kitchen area. We are going to leave a few extra hours early and try to beat the snow in there. Hope to see you, drive safe.

Fables?? ouch, Suit! That one hurt!

And you DID touch on one of my issues with the whole state school thing.

But on to Rocco. C'mon guys. Someone should just let us know what's going on. MUC is too good to have to keep secrets!

Are you planning on attending Saturday? I would enjoy meeting you in person............I think? ::)

Unfortunately, due to a herniated disc in my back and some scheduling issues I will not be able to be there on Saturday. Too bad, too. I'm much nicer in person.  ;D

BHTH -

Please ignore my private posting from last night.  I will not be up to the drive down to Salem this weekend ... even IF we get a "Second Coming's" worth of snow.

70s, coach, and all ... Sorry I'm not going to be able to see you all in person this year.  Bobert6296 is seriously bummed.  MUC better keep on winning until I run out of excuses.

Everyone please drive safely.  I have a bottle of champagne here to celebrate the winning team ... whichever team that may be!

Peace all!
Mom

Any word out of Salem on Rocco's practice status?? (THERE'S your opportunity, RC)

Pat Coleman on the daily dose:

QuoteAnd the Mount Union practice is just wrapping up here from Salem Stadium. Kurt Rocco dressed and got what seemed to me to be a normal amount of reps with the offense. Cecil Shorts did take some snaps and threw passes with the first string. Rocco seemed fine.

The Alliance snow-job regarding Rocco can officially end now that there are neutral observers...observing.  ;)

No, no.no that's Bert Bogo

Can't believe you guys fell for that old "dress somebody up like the starting QB" gag

those of you worrying about snow and cold, obviously were not at the 93 Stagg...my toes still ache when I think of it. I cannot remember being colder at a football game...And Ballard threw the  'skin  like he was in Miami...

I think anything that takes the passing game away from Mount puts them 14 points to the bad....

beenhit2hard

I think I will wear "93"stuff to the game in honor of the weather,,that was a cold ,,cold ,windy day. But,,if you were an MUC person,,you left feeling mighty warm!!!

Mr. Ypsi

I see also on the Daily Dose that Nate Kmic is doing scout team duties.  Geez, something tells me he can do a better Coppage impersonation than most schools' scout teams! :o ;D

How is the rest of D3 supposed to compete with a school that can first find a Kmic on their bench in the 2005 playoffs, and now find him on staff for the scout team?! 8)

You had me going until Olinemom and Hooters in the same sentence.  Yikes.  I think I'm blind!
