I have only one thing to say before going to bed: Herm Timmersjo.

Don't know why, I just like saying that

an LK genius moment, kicking in 2 ft of snow is nothing for a swede

also i'm making a 70's classic in saying Zac Lemon is going to have a career day

As the game gets closer, I thought it would be fun to see if UWW and MUC fans know as much about each other as they seem to. I posted a fun quiz to help pass the time to kickoff!

Good story about how successful coaches find a way to win, sometimes against all odds:

ND hasn't had a good coach since Ara ;)

the east Liverpool & Kent state flash wasn't too bad, but that's beside the point. Article is about Kelly's amazing success at Grand Valley State, central Michigan, and Cincinnati.

Our entourage is leaving in about an hour.  Safe journeys!

It's official.....Rocco MAY or MAY NOT play.   ;D ;)

Now that it's pretty obvious Rocco is going to play, can I just be real about the whole situation for a minute? The whole mystery "making things hard for UWW to prepare" aspect was a bit overblown. The truth is Rocco not playing would have been a HUGE dilemma for MUC, NOT UWW.  (As HSCOACH reflected in his point spread).

Spending a bit of time throwing 9 men in the box and running contain blitzes from all angles was actually probably fun for UWW to work on for a few minutes each practice this week. Heck, they may even use it a couple times Saturday. But I think it would be naive to think UWW didn't fully prepare for a healthy Rocco and the awesome passing attack of MUC.

Two hours south of Salem, they're calling for just 2-4 inches of snow.  Regardless, I hope everyone remembers that people in VA don't always remember how to drive in the white stuff.  At lest Salem's close enough to the mountains for them to see it a couple of times a year, but I wouldn't be surprised if the stores are sold out of bread and eggs with what they're predicting.  I'm going to try my drive Saturday morning.  It looks like I'm leaving earlier and earlier each time the weather comes on.
Jaypeter, the weather people ust said 8 - 13 starting fay afternoon with sleet, freezing rain and snow.  I'd start Friday am and find a hotel room.  I'm sure there are plenty!!  Safe travels!!  At the moment it is quiet and COLD.

Yeah, they upped the snowfall totals for Greensboro (where I am), too.  But, with a 3 month old and a wife with a bad cold, I'm lucky to still have the chance to go tomorrow.  Leaving this morning wouldn't go over well at all.  I'll be leaving about 6:30, giving me four and a half hours for a two hour trip, and taking my Jeep through the foothills of VA.

wesleydad

safe travels all, leaving in about 15 minutes.  see you all there, hooters tonight and stagg tomorrow.

I think it was a dilemna for both teams. For WWW, the dilemna would be during the week, having to take time to prepare for either Cecil or Rocco at QB. If WWW knew Rocco would play, all of their time and resources would have gone directly to how the offense is run when Rocco is at QB.

The problem for MUC would have come during the game (obviously).

Also, I'm enjoying your thoughts via your blog, bleed. Thanks!

Geesh, I am only about 35 miles to the southwest from Salem (staying with my mother) and I am going to have to get a hotel room in Salem this afternoon so that I can make sure I make it to the game. 14 to 17" predicted in Blacksburg and over a foot in Salem. It will be snowing during the game.

gIVE THE QUALITY iNN IN Salem a call.   They have had some cancellations and might have a room available!!  Stone Station usually stays there.  it's a nice place convenient to the stadium and to I-81 .  Just a suggestion.

The "Red Eye" bus with a full load will be leaving from Alliance at 1:00 am.  Hopefully we can get an early start and that the weather won't be as bad as predicted.
We will see you all tomorrow at the game.  Go Mount.  Please make sure they save some donuts and hot coffee for us at the Alumni Tent.  Go Mount!!!!
