Raider 68

I know what the D3 guys are saying and all the votes including Ric are UWW 5-4, but the total votes on the main page are starting to move to Mount.

Are the Raiders "really" the underdog this time, I am not so sure as we
get closer to game time? ;)

After looking at the weather channel, it is saying 13 to 18 inches of snow with possible outages, down tree's and all kinds of nasy stuff.Would there be a possibilty that the game could be postponed? If so what would happen?

I would absolutely place the Raiders as the underdog this year for the following reasons:

QB questions
Panchik injury
turnover issues
Millings' situation
replacing Kmic/Micheli

The list is significant and they're still playing in the Stagg but what is UWW worrying about???
OAC Champs: 1942 (one title ties us with Ohio State)
OAC Runners-Up: 2017, 2016, 2015, 2010, 2009, 2005, 2004, 2001, 2000, 1999, 1982, 1941 (Stupid Mount Union!)
MOL Champs: 1952, 1950

Safe travels to all.  I'm in Northern Virginia and the forecast is a moving target but it keeps getting worse.  They are now calling for up to 20" up here.  VDOT doesn't have nearly the budget or equipment necessary for major snowfalls so get there early and expect to stay late.

I think WWW has a lot to worry about.  They're only been able to climb the Mount once and they're 1-4 in Staggs vs. Mount Union if they lose.  I agree that Mount Union is the underdog but I think that WWW has more to lose by losing the game this year than Mount Union.  JMHO of course.

RC,

Agree with your points why Mount should be/is the underdog. As the game
time gets closer, my confidence is higher. I have thought for sometime before that for the Raiders to get to Salem would be an accomplishment.

But we will see on Saturday, unless the game is re-scheduled!

Snow(storm) or not, I wish I could be there with you guys at the Stagg Bowl this year.  Anyway, wishing all of you safe travels there; enjoy your evening tonight at whatever sports bar/restaurant you end up at in Salem/Roanoke, and, of course, enjoy the game tomorrow but dress warm.  I'll be watching on ESPN.  Good luck to both teams and here's hoping for a great game - my "gut feeling" tells me it will be.

we wre here and it is snowing pretty hard already.  looks like a fun trip to hooters and the game tomorrow.  10 miles north so hope that the road is plowed somewhat in the morning.

I just received a call from the Alumni Office.  (4:30 p.m.)  The "Red Eye" bus has been cancelled due to the weather conditions.  54 Raider fans will have watch the game on TV.  Someone can have my share of the donuts and coffee.  Go Raiders bring home a winner.

Really sorry to hear that, although I was getting a little jealous of the people riding the bus. You should be able to hear me screaming in Mogadore

Small but Slow

Trying to determine the best way to get over to the Sheraton for the reception and rally.  Our 12 minute trip may take a bit more than that due to the snow.

Holy Snow! Safe travels to all!!!!

Do you all realize this is Mount Union College's LAST chance at a D-III National Title.

From now on that weird place by the name of Mount Union University will be vying for the championship!!!

Answers added to Stagg Bowl Quiz are posted. If you haven't taken it yet, it's a light hearted attempt to pass some time to KICKOFF! The answers are posted below the quiz, so you can still test your knowledge of MUC and UWW!

the bears/ravens game time has been moved due to the snow. any chance of stagg bowl officials considering something like this?

Also, does Salem Stadium still have the tarp they used when the field was grass or are they just going to plow the turf before pregame warm ups tomorrow.

If it is snowing though, MUC has to wear the white on white. And if they every had a better opportunity, i think its time to introduce a white helmet. go boise state style and blend into the field.
