FYI

Mount Union College will not be having any telecast open to the public.
Light travels faster than sound. This is why some people appear bright until you hear them speak.

Small but Slow

Don't know if my FL equipped HHR will make. It out of the parking lot, but we've made alternative provisions to ride over with another Mount fan if we can't.  Don't know how long we'll be stuck in Salem after the game though.

I just realized, I don't think we ever had a Heidelberg poster before. Rumor has it I'm getting an Orange hoodie for Xmas (Thank God it isn't Wilmington, although the green stuff would go better with my Mogadore stuff) Green, Purple and Orange. I'll try to keep my closet door shut.

seventies:

You just about made me puke with the description of those colors! ;D :o ::)  Just kidding.  At least my wife and I lucked out when both our daughters decided to go to our alma mater Hope and we didn't have to change colors in buying hoodies!  Anyway, congratulations on your daughter's acceptance to The 'Berg.  I hope she has a great college experience.  Enjoy your new orange 'Berg hoodie sweatshirt, but you can still wear your Mount one from time to time! ;)

Speaking of the delayed Stagg Bowl, I'm glad now, that I wasn't able to make the trip down this year.  I wouldn't have wanted to experience the drive in such a nasty snowstorm - that is never fun and very stressful.  Perhaps one good thing is that people already there might have some fun sitting in the sports bars all afternoon before the game "tailgating" that way with burgers, beer before heading over to the game.  Too bad the annual and usual tailgates were wiped out this year.  I won't be able to watch the game now since the wife and I have a Christmas dinner party to go to that we've been invited to and I don't have the ESPN Classic.  But at least I watched the FCS Championship last night - what a great game with Villanova pulling it out over a very good Montana team (the latter's front line averaged about 302 lbs - they were massive and fast!).  It was a driving rainstorm throughout most of the game.  'Nova's QB and RB are great players.  It was a great game to watch.  Too bad, however, that Montana's HC has now lost 3 D-IAA championship games at Montana, but it was a nice win for HC Andy Tally of Villanova who resurrected the program there and their first national championship in football (and the first in any men's sport since the 1985 Villanova NCAA Div I championship under then coach Massamino).

WOW!!! Weather Channel just showed a picture of WV Turnpike in Beckly, unbelievable! Cars stranded everywhere.

Kehresma

The field is GREEN! And they're starting on the stands. Not much parking yet, tho. Road is clear enough to get between the team's motel and stadium.

justaraiderfan2

Green field? Thats good news. PLAY BALL :)

mr_mom

WeatherChannel just reported from Roanoke and the snow has stopped, at a miserly 14".  Now if only those of you down there can make it to the stadium!

Still coming down in Manassas at 2-3" per hour.  Every hour or so I shovel a path to my DirecTV satellite so I can brush it off.  [I tried using my leaf blower, but the snow has a higher moisture content than it did last night.]
Never underestimate the stimulation of eccentricity.

For any of you down in Roanoke and Salem, what's the mood of the team, staff so far, if you know?  I assume they're quite anxious.  As a player in college, I always hated that waiting time before actually getting out to the field, especially when we had night games and had to wait around in the afternoon watching TV, even if we were watching other games on the tube.

In case to you have Dish Network, which retirement poverty drove me to, you need at least the Classic Siver 200 package to have ESPN Classic. God I miss Time Warner, but not their bill.

I can just picture me and Kevin sitting in a motel in Bexeley WV eating 200 buckeyes

Gametime forecast: 5 mph wind, light snow, 35 mph,

Drove all the way to Salem this morning...just a little shy of four hours for a two hour trip.  Learned the game was delayed and since I need to be at home bright and early tomorrow, and since I didn't want to try the snow-covered roads in the dark, I turned around and am now back in Greensboro.  WTF!!!  And now I learn the game won't even be on a channel I can watch.  Then, to top it all off, the roads were absolutely clear on the way home and I made it in normal time.

Well, I really hope that most of the parents were there before the storm. It's about them and their young men and women, not us oldfarts that are sitting at home.

I've found a slide show of Catherine Zeta Jones on iMdb that makes the D3football broadcast easier to take. Yes, these are radio guys in a shed in the parking lot. Hi RooCru

JayPeter, try ESPN360 on your computer, better than nothing

Time for something my friends in Salem won't get between now and the game, a hot shower.

Beenh2h: Glad you chickened out as well. My luck I fight my way there and slip and spend Christmas in Roanoke Memorial
