UWW ARE YOUR 2009 NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!

Don't go all Kentucky vs. LSU yet, 3 timeouts means UWW needs to make a first down to run the clock out.

GOOD POINT. I was thinking MUC had only 1 timeout.   ???. Glad I'm not the coach.  :D

Now it's over.  Great game, both teams played well and made D3 fans everywhere proud.

Interesting decision here on 4th down though for the Warhawks.  I can't believe they risked a FG block on a 44 yard FG.

Great season to both and congrats to Whitewater.

No kidding. Rocco is a great one for sure!
What a game!

I was thinking the same thing, but when you have a kicker like that the decision is a little easier.

Well, a disappointing end to the season for sure, but it was still a great ride.  Thanks for the 2009 memories, Mount Union!

No wonder I'm sending my daughter to Heidelberg, Mount Union can't even beat Wisconsin-Walmart ;)
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

You are such a douche!   ;D

I, for one, say 'Hail to the new overlords" from Your humble Servant.

It was an exciting game, lost opportunities, and I will go and teach my kids how to be a good loser.

Dammit!

Yeah but we'd all be saying something completely different if MUC blocked it and went the other way with the football.  I think one thing that helped was that the Raiders were almost as shocked as I was and didn't really believe they were going to kick it until the snap went back.  It's not like it was a gimme.  44 yards in freezing temps is a sketchy proposition.

Bottom line is it went through (by about 3-5 yards from the looks of it) and it put the game out of reach but if he missed or it was blocked, we might all be going nuts over that decision.  I just think the importance of that result can't be overlooked.  Ballsy if nothing else.

Congratulations to Whitewater on a hard fought smash mouth win, these 18-22 yr old men all brought "IT" today and Mount certainly has nothing to hang their heads about. I will look forward to what I hope is VI next year, maybe a little less snow. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all, safe travels back through the snow

Congrats to WWW, a great football team wins a great game.

The Mount D turned the game around in the second half but the forced fumbles on three of Mount's last four possessions killed a great comeback...was a classic game to watch.

Proud of the Raider comeback, never disappointed in their effort and the way they represent us Raider faithful..thanks men

Well said B.R.

As much as I enjoyed seeing the Hawks win, I've enjoyed even more watching the MUC football team the past few years and all that it brings.  Toughness, class and one hell of a football team.  Congrats and props to Raider Nation on everything!

See you next year? ;)
You can't have everything.....Where would you put it?

I was looking for a pooch punt from Schebler myself...as a Whitewater fan, it was a fitting way for it to end for a guy like Schebler - another missed FG this year, but putting one through at the end caps a great, record setting career.

Congrats to the Purple Raiders for a great season and most entertaining game today; what a dangerous team. It's so much fun when 2 really good teams go toe to toe for 4 quarters. Special MVP award to the City of Salem and all their volunteers, unbelievable job getting the stadium ready - very impressed. Happy holidays to all on the OAC board!!

anyone else find this game very eerily similar to the 2007 WW championship? WW seemed to out play MUC early...MUC shows their true colors and battles back and makes it a game...and then WW pulls away late with a big run to "seal" it and they win by 10...later game that involved bad weather...maybe I just looked too much into it but thats how I saw it
