Bleed Purple- I could care less what happens to Wisconsin-Walmart anymore than I cared about Rowan when they built up and then flamed out. Did I say one bad thing after the Stagg Bowl, no. We don't grasp at straws here boy, but I'll let you two'fers do it. You won, get used to people not liking you.

Win three in a row and I'll bow down to your program, For now your just an other Ithica. Lance has a nice record at WW but I'm thinking he'll be around as long as Gags trying to beat Kehres. Can you keep it up for two decades?? I think Lance's ego is too big to stay at WW long

PS-Off to see if the Raider women can go to 13-0, now thats fun.

BTW-This is the OAC board isn't it? Don't you guys have better places to be?

Just found this board.  I've always wondered if there are very many "Alliance" people not affiliated with Mount that go to Mount games.  I grew up in Alliance in the 60's and used to go in free at half time (they opened the gates), but the crowds were so small then that I'm sure it was mostly sudents, alumni and parents that attended.  Back then, The Alliance HS JV games at Rockhill may have outdrawn Mount.  I didn't know anybody else that went to Mount games and I only went to half of the games I did go to.  My mother never liked Mount back then ("a bunch of spoiled rich kids"), but when they went started winning and going to the to the Stagg Bowl, she closely followed them and even listened to their playoff games on the radio...

I'm sorry.  I know you're new and I'll cut you some slack but that's a funny mistake.  I can think of a few posters on this board that are only there half the time they're at games.  Or even when they are at games, they're only half-there to begin with.   ;D

Wow, glad BW's womens BB team doesn't play football. Mount shot as cold as the rain outside and dropped their first. Those Flamin' Pile girls were tough.

In the sixties and seventies everyone went back to the dorms or to the Naborhood at the half because Mount was that bad except perhaps for a few years when that Kehres kid was QB'ing or when we were kicking the crap out of Hiram or Oberlin. Now everybody's gone cause the game is over. No matter how much things change our Alliance fan base won't dedicate more than an hour and a half. It's hard keeping up with that fast paced life style in A-Town. ::)

Now that the GVSU HC vacancy has been filled by an internal candidate,
the UWW program will have Coach Leipold back again for 2010.

...until the plot thickens...

Lance apparently REALLY wants out of Whitewater. 8-)

Omaha to Whitewater to (maybe) suburban Kansas City?? I'll pray for his family

Actually after the game last month, I'd rather not see Zebrowski as head coach

Wow.

Blutarsky

I can understand his applying to GVSU as a "unique opportunity".....however, if he is indeed a candidate at this other school, now it smacks of simply looking for a better job (see: $$$$$).  What other positions did he apply for??  One application can be explained and doesn't play with potential recruits.......a pattern of applications is a different story.

Apparently I'm having way more fun in Ohio than they are in Wisconsin.

BTW #16 Women's BB takes on the Flamin' Pile of BW tonight. Should I mention uWWWWWWW dropped to 2oth?? Probably not.

Don't give yourself too much credit, seventies.  Pretty sure you aren't having nearly the fun we are. And you really aren't angering anyone that I've noticed, either.

For the record, 70's is the master of "giving himself too much credit".

If he won't, who will?
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Yah.......Seventies has abnormally long, and weird shaped arms from patting himself on the back all the time!   ;)

The fact is.....if you are interested in reaching the pinnacle in your profession (coaching at a higher level), you have to get yourself out there and available.  It's just the way it works in all professions.

I hope he gets another job, and takes his coaching staff with him.  Bleed Purple can be the new guy at the helm.  Now THAT would bring down the YOU..DUB...DUB machine!   ;D

TooForRaider

I can understand his approach. I'm just surprised he's a finalist for both of these jobs. He is obviously qualified and has a winning history, but to be publicly named for these positions already is impressive.

Guess we'll see.

OldOtter

Have heard some rumors that Brookhaven grad Dominic Jones has enrolled at Otterbein. I know he got into some trouble up at Minnesota and was dismissed. Could be interesting if he has got his life turned around. Guess we'll have to wait and see...

There is little doubt now that Coach Leipold wants to strike while the iron is hot. As I said in a prior post, his personal goal is first. Just a fact.

IMHO more applications by Coach Leipold will take some toll on the UWW program.
