1.  Although I'm coaching girls basketball, I'd really love it if we didn't talk about it here.  There's a board for that on this site and I promise to never visit it but whomever wants to post there is welcomed to.

2.  Can we stop poking the UWW'ers?  If you don't want them here, stop harassing them.  If you harass them, expect these results.

3.  Am I crazy thinking that a D-III kid really shouldn't care about playing on ESPN?  Is the mystique of playing on ESPN the appropriate angle?  I think a kid would pick a UWW, MUC or ______ because of a chance to play in a great program for a national championship regardless of the sports cable network that covers it.

4.  I'm sure the UWW faithful are not thrilled with Leipold's name being thrown around for multiple vacancies but they understand it.  I'm sure it has an impact on recruiting.  I'm sure if he stays he'll still be able to lure plenty of talent.  I would think the average recruit could hop on the internet and see UWW was a great program before Leipold's arrival and given the WIAC system, it has every chance to be the same program and more if LL moves on to greener (the color of money) pastures.

5.  Also could we please stop talking about women's basketball?   ;)

Very well stated.  +k.  I think this whole "LL potentially leaving" season will have a very short shelf life. I am anticipating him to put the whole issue definitively to rest very soon.

When he gets hired somewhere else?  Or when he stops interviewing at all these other places?

Coincidentally, I heard he was interviewing for my high school's HC position which is wierd because there's not even a vacancy there to fill.   ;D

Mr. Ypsi

rc,

You're on a roll!  (But that may not be a good thing.)

LL interviewed at THE d2 job - can you blame him?  It is not yet established that he applied, and/or was actually interviewed, anywhere else (Cent. Mo. may have contacted him).

As to the diatribe about women's bball, there was ONE mention of where a poster was headed for the night, and ONE ribbing in response that they had lost.  Hardly a domination of the board!  (And MY team, IWU, is currently ranked #1, is 42-1 over the last 1.5 seasons, so I don't mind the talk! ;D)

Have heard some rumors that Brookhaven grad Dominic Jones has enrolled at Otterbein. I know he got into some trouble up at Minnesota and was dismissed. Could be interesting if he has got his life turned around. Guess we'll have to wait and see...

is that like the ray small at capital rumors this past off-season?

OTT has to be licking its chops thinking about Dominic Jones and Andy Katzenmoyer on the same defensive unit for the Cards next year.

Being newly retired and tired of looking at snow I played around with all the bowl games this year, including the d-1, d-2, and d-3 championship games.  Below is a state by state result of wins and losses.  Draw what ever conclusions you want from the info.  In terms of wins Ohio did not have a good year.  In terms of getting there Ohio had five teams in bowls or championships.

^^If I was coach at one of the other 27 Wisconsin-___________(fill in the blank) colleges, I would certainly be using it with recruits....."I will be here for your four years."

There is another coach who will be in Pasadena tonight that left
MSU, LSU, Miami Dolphins and now at the Tide. Although a very good coach he did not exactly leave those programs with the players in mind, let alone
"I be here for 4 years". The Tide may win, but I'll root for the Longhorns
and Mack Brown (class guy). Saban is a great example of after me your are
next (take a number).

I am with you, go horns.  Bear Bryant must be spinning in his grave with Saban coaching Bama.  I wanted to see Jim Bates get the Dolphins job when they hired that POS Saban.

Was anyone else hoping that Saban would lose to the freshman QB because he took the air out of the ball in the 3rd Quarter?  It would have been great if his over-caution cost him.... alas it wasn't to be as the kid didn't see the blitz coming and fumbled the ball.

Saban is a douche though.... "The Grinder" they call him.

There is something I don't like about Saban.  Comes off as arrogant and sort of a bastard.  Maybe different in person though.

He is not! when we lived in Michigan 40 miles from East Lansing, it was confirmed by many inside MSU that he is just as arrogant and sort of B............. as you see live and on camera. I suppose now he will be looking for another HC that pays him even more.

Texas would have won with Colt McCoy, despite Bama's defense IMHO!

Did you see Saban after they dumped the gatorade on him last night?!  He was looking around like he was finding someone to punch.....He just won the NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP and was still pissed he got wet.  Relax Francis, you just won the championship!

Well, there was also some "helmet-to-helmet contact" on the dunking. That might have hurt.

Saban had on a helmet?? :D  Sorry, didn't see that.  I just can't get over the fact that "robo-coach" couldn't let his guard down for a moment.

I promise I won't cry but please answer the following multiple choice question:

RC's karma is getting dinged because:

     a.  everyone else here loves women's basketball

     b.  he leaked the information about LL applying for an AZ high school team that has yet to play a down of varsity football

     c.  Andy Katzenmoyer secretly lurks under the name Doeder OtterBuck and is offended by my attempt at humor

     d.  fill in the blank (I know you guys can come up with something worthy of laughter)
