Now Kiffin taking over at USC? Wow. I guess it makes sense, but I didn't see it coming.

Kiffin is a tool.  Only good because his dad's defense and the assistant coaches around him.  He needs Monte, Chow and Oregon else he'll be a bust.

Successful Head Coaches usually have great assistant coaches. Great players don't hurt either.

70's, I echo the sentiment.  My prayers are with those in Haiti.

A couple of articles with quotes from Garcon about his concerns for family:

Mr. Ypsi

Something tells me Pierre is not a big fan of Pat Robertson.  The pathetic fool said on his show that Haiti's earthquake was due to the "historical fact" that Haiti made a 'pact with the devil' to rid themselves of French rule.  What a loser! ::)

Pat Robertson and Harry Reid need to ride off into the sunset together. I'm a grumpy old geezer but there is no excuse for people in the public eye running off at the mouth like this.

100,000 of people are probably dead.  Urggh.

Carroll left a USC program in the midst of a violations investigation for the NFL.  Kiffin leaves UT, also in the NCAA's crosshairs over his own alleged violations.  Mangino, Leach, and Leavitt all got the boot for alleged abuse of their players.  Is the big time college football world going crazy or what?

The timing of Carroll's departure could not have looked worse for him, no matter what he claims his reasons are.  Not surprised by little Kiffin ditching UT after they gave him a shot after Al Davis seriously damaged his credbility, but surprised that Monte and Norm Chow would step into that potential mess.

Another article about PG and his concern for the victims of the Haitian earthquake.  God bless.

The biggest issue with the coaching scenarios is that sanctions and probations don't follow the coaches when they hightail it out for greener pastures.  Pete Carroll and John Calipari immediately come to mind.  I think the NCAA should penalize a coach so that sanctions also follow them to wherever they escape to amidst investigations.  Of course, Pete Carroll walks away from impending doom and gets a $35 million contract in the NFL as a reward.

If Pierre is able to keep his focus on the game, at least one pundit thinks he will be a key to the game this weekend:
