It is official:

The University of Mount Union

released today....

Does this open the door for the football team to replace RAIDERS on the helmets with a U?

Because UMU and MUU sound ridiculous.

And so does changing from "college" to "university"....

If you think these acronyms are ridiculous, wait until they unveil the new mascot because the MUCaw needs to be retired.

Enter the age of "UMU the Emu".

Dekalb Daily Chronicle is reporting that Zebrowski will be the quarterbacks coach:

The Daily Chronicle has confirmed that University of Wisconsin-Whitewater offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Jim Zebrowski has been hired to become the quarterbacks coach for Northern Illinois and Pat Poore will move to wide receivers coach, though the two will work closely together.

Should be a good opportunity for Z. Despite having a potent rushing attack, the NIU passing game has been lackluster for several years.

Zebrowski (MUC '91) joining Jay Sawvel (MUC '93) at NIU.

Because UMU and MUU sound ridiculous.

Is UMU really that much different from MUC (Muck)?

I have been told by someone close to the name change etc., that the Mount
logo showing the Chapman bell tower will be replaced by a new logo. The sports logo for the Raiders will not change, thank goodness!

Just saw Chris Berman name the Manning to Garcon pass to win against the Dolphins as Manning's #2 play of the year.

Kinda funny when you think about the #2 play for Peyton was a WR screen.  Was the #1 play a draw to Addai?  That was Pierre's #1 play maybe and the very big for the Colts but for Peyton?  He did the easy part.  Pierre did all the leg work.

Colts down 17-13 at the half, but Hopefully they will come back in the second half. Pierre has 3 catches for 70 yards including a great over the shoulder catch. Keep it up, GO COLTS!
