During the Presidential Scholarship interviews last weekend I interviewed two young men who are probably coming here (UMU) to play football--one was a QB out of southern Kentucky--Kentucky High School Heisman award winner--and the other one was a LB from Indiana--South Bend, if i remember correctly.  The QB is gonna need to bulk up a bit but both of them seemed like a good fit for our program.

The 2010 competition at QB will be interesting and a leader will emerge. Although Seaman "may" have the inside track, he will be pushed for the starting nod IMHO!

The KY kid was supposedly getting looks from an Ivy League school if I remember correctly.  He was a bit of a long shot to land at UMU (doing my best to use the new abbreviation).

Is there latest OAC recruiting news for 2010?

You ask this every day?!?!

I did hear something about a local (to MUC) Junior QB strongly considering MAC schools as a LB or D-III (W&J and MUC) as a QB. Of course its pretty meaningless since he is a junior.

My question got lost in other discussions, so I posted it again!

Maybe nobody knows anything???

You can try a Google News Search for "Mount Union Football" and it should come up with any newspaper articles with Seniors who have "signed" to come to THE UMU.

has anyone thought to change it to MUMU?  That could be a code word or something...

I think that MUMU is "code" for this:

Yes that is him.  You tube is the easiest way to have a players video watched by a coach.  Instead of sending a video and hoping it gets watched, you send an email with the link.  Its also much cheaper.

Good size and he can sling the rock.  I hope he comes to MUC!

+K for both of those... rc and blutarsky

on a side note... weather forecast for this weekend in Southwest Ohio is a balmy 55 degrees.  This winter weather can "sit-n-spin"

My biggest question is not who is coming in the freshman class, but whose already there that might be stepping up in Spring practice?

Matt Wabby, JC tranfer from Westlake Village, CA can come in and take over where Kurt Rocco left off. Based upon the film, I see not drop off at all. No wonder the coaches are real high on him! :)

Any word on potential returnees for the spring,  K. Miller etc.?

I see a kid with a good arm throwing to uncovered receivers (Cecil?).
I look for Matt Piloto to open some eyes at Spring Practice.  I liked what I saw in the JV games.  I thought he had a good arm and good pocket presence.  And good receivers to throw to.....

TheManInBlack

Anyone looks good throwing the ball to the likes of Cecil.  I look for Seaman to take the controls and be the 2nd best QB in the conference next year.  Spring practice should be interesting for a number of teams in the OAC.

drt

I meant Wabby.
I guess a lot will depend on what Piloto does with his summer.
Seaman is a local kid who can make all the player-organized activities, while Piloto is from Florida.  He would be wise to explore summer employment in the Alliance area....

Do you think the brass at Heidelberg are PO'd about being identified as a wimpy little college and not as a university?
