Rocky Pentello named Capital University Head Football Coach

Just kidding

Well at least they don't need to worry about looking for a new coach for a loooooong time!

Oh yeah, I'm just kidding too.

I was gonna say, I went and checked out cap's website, and it looks the same as it has for the last few months now.  The link to athletics isn't as prominent as it should be, but it is there.

It definitely had a different layout yesterday.  Maybe they were trying something new and it was just a test run.

Just use www.capitalcrusaders.net and it will take you immediately to the athletics webpage.

When I attempt to go there I get an error:

So, did Capital hire a Football Coach yet or not?

The error is there because Capital has decided to use the following url for their athletics site:

www.capital.edu/71

Duh.   ;D
OAC Champs: 1942 (one title ties us with Ohio State)
OAC Runners-Up: 2017, 2016, 2015, 2010, 2009, 2005, 2004, 2001, 2000, 1999, 1982, 1941 (Stupid Mount Union!)
MOL Champs: 1952, 1950

Hmm.  www.capitalcrusaders.net used to automatically re-direct to the www.capital.edu/71 site.  I don't know why they took it down.  Even last year, they used to announce during game broadcasts about going to capitalcrusaders.net

I don't know wtf is going on at Cap anymore anyway.  I'm really losing faith.

I'm starting to think that Stanford has GOT to be the new coach, since we're almost to spring practice and we still haven't made an announcement about anyone else yet.

I guess we just hang on to CapCru on twitter. I have hunch that Lenny will know before 99% of Capital folks do. How do you have your best decade in the history of football at the school and then putz around like this naming a coach.

If nothing else the job posting for HC is still up on their website

Had a nice little flashback today when STO was on TV. They advertised for the upcoming College All-Start game or whatever it is called and they were showing different highlights and all the sudden there was Nate Kmic running his heart out in his MUC #36 jersey. Pretty cool...

For the record, I have not heard any OAC recruiting news today.

seventiesraider

No recruiting news but my Google search for Mount Union Football practically blew up with all the coverage of PG85 going to meet the President and the President of Haiti. And apparently Mount Union Iowa is in the State Finals in basketball

Does Capital even want a coacha t this point?  Are they just gonna see what happens if they don't hire one?

Getting close to Spring Practice, Capital has to pull the trigger some time soon.

Though Denison just hired their coach the other day.

I heard they're hoping for a sign and trade.  Or at least draft picks and cash.

Can someone explain Division III spring practice to me?  Is it helmets only?  Is it uppers, but no contact?  How many days do they get?
