OK, strike anything I said about Piloto. As I said, I wanted to get on campus and conform rumors.  He appears to still be a full time student and working out with the squad

Hence, I would actually rate him number 1 in my book. Big, stands tall in the pocket. But I know that LK is very high on young mister Seaman.

Sorry to have spread a bad rumor, but when his picture was also missing from the roster it seems safe

"Seaman to Shorts" is still the top prospect for this year......and a really bad thing to happen on prom night  ;)

Seaman has yet to show real arm strength and unless that changes for 2010, the position is wide-open. Coach Kehres will want other options to choose from, IMHO :-\

With Shorts in the backfield?  That actually would be scary.

I saw Matt last week looks good but looks like he is holding back not a hard thrower, but there might be something maybe arm is sore?

Any word or any possible canadiates on the Capital defensive coordinator?

I thought I read somewhere that CAP was foregoing defense altogether and focusing on offense and special teams (sorta like JCU and it's new focus on strictly special teams).

As we all know LK will win with whatever kind of QB he has.  He did put Neal Seaman in at some tight situations and except for the one playoff game, the kid looked good.  That says a lot about what LK thinks of the kid.  My Louisville High geniuses love the kid but say he did not throw the ball long in high school .  He did not throw it long last year.  The Great Number 7 Bill Borchert (moment of silence) didn't throw long much his freshman year either. Seaman had to be inspired by Kirk Rocco's performance in the playoffs.  I think the kid is going to surface.

Purple,

You are right Coach Kehres will win with just about anyone he selects as his QB. I still believe though that Neal Seaman will have to have the ability to throw long and accurate. If he can do that, he will be the leading candidate, if not someone else will be.

Seaman's playing time as a true freshman had a LOT to do with the lack of quality options in the junior and sophomore classes last fall.  If there had been any competition behind Rocco from either of those classes Seaman would have been playing on the JV team with Piloto.

And the difference between Seaman getting time before Piloto was a function of Neal being a local kid that was around all spring/summer whereas Piloto was not.  Neal had a big head start when camp started.

I'd be very surprised if the QB position wasn't a very heated battle this summer and fall.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

+k for HSCoach. One of the unique occasions when we agree 100% on something. Guess we're both getting older  :D

They say that when women hang out enough they get on the same cycle.  Maybe you and hscoach are just starting sync up similarly.   ;D

RC, don't bother playing the Pick-Ems this fall.  You're dead to me after that comment.......................

Agree, and maybe with a QB transfer to Mount, the QB race will be even more competitive! :)

ditto, HScoach... as an outsider, I'd say that LK likes to see his starting QB actually compete before the games start so they can find out about each's competitiveness.
