Are you two enjoying your trip down memory lane or are you just happy you can still remember names and faces?   ;)

A little of both! Now back to D3 football! :)

I was gonna break out the Beach Boys music

Anyone heard any status on TE Kyle Miller, is he returning this fall?

Kyle is returning this fall.  Would like to see him utilized even more than last year.  He's got great hands!

It's funny about the Beach Boys reference.  I'm on an action committee at my school to focus on school pride and we just had an argument with one of the other committee members that 15 and 16 yr old kids would not exactly identify with or be motivated by the admin blasting "Be True To Your School" during the passing periods.  It would probably have the opposite effect we are looking for.  The average 15 yr old probably doesn't even know who the Beach Boys are.

Spent the weekend at Camp Atterbury, IN with 400+ ROTC Cadets.  Had to play the "that's what she said" game all weekend.  You have NO idea how hard it is to have to watch what you say so it doesn't get "that's what she said"-ed.

OK I wanted to tell you guys that coach the lower levels I have an even better respect for what you do because I spent yesterday afternoon coaching up my new 9-12 yr old NFL Flag Football team.  I had to change my approach three times and that was just to get us stretched out.  It is amazing the difference between the 12 year olds and the 15 year olds I start with as freshmen.  I'm not even talking about skill level; just attention span.  How would it look for a varsity coach to put in his letter of resignation for NFL Flag Football after one day?

Ask Lane Kiffin for advise?
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Plan every second, keep it moving and when it starts to fall apart: water break

A little off topic but....

I am currently trying to find some one or two day men's slow-pitch softball tournaments in northeast Ohio. It doesn't matter if it is USSSA, NSA, or ASA. Our team is simply looking for competitive tournaments. Please let me know if you have any info or individuals I could contact.

They can run laps if no hill, then another water break!

Disciplining them isn't really an option because we are limited to one hour practices, two days a week and have exactly three hours of prep until our first game.  We will be lucky to have a couple of organized offensive plays going into game one.

I think being a varsity football coach will actually go against me given the makeup of the league, the kids participating and prep time.

It will be INTERESTING.  Parents video-taped the stretch yesterday...the stretch.

And I'm sure they already know how it could have been done better!
