Seems like every other day I get a Google search email about another Florida player coming to Mount

I hope it is a huge, fast O/L or D/L player! :)

Until July 1st or before, all the talk in Ohio will be the NBA. I am just tied of hearing about it. D3 football is where it at and college football as a whole! :)

Fake it

Excellent response, seventies!! :)  Love it!

Also, wow...Rocky Colavito!  Now there's a "blast from the past" ;D.  He also played for the Detroit Tigers, which some people (who are old enough ;D) might not recall, although his main fame was with Cleveland.  Not the greatest, but not a bad player overall either.

I'm with you Raider68.  Forget the NBA (I can't stand that league) and "come on" DIII football season! :)

Tell you what is funny and I've been saying it for two months.... all these NEW Cleveland fans (which is about 86.35% of their fan base--new as in since LeBron joined the Cavs 7 years ago) are going to be gone now ------ I've never seen a bigger group of fair-weather fans.  How many of them were around for the 1990s when Danny Ferry was their best player???

I understand what happened in Game 5 in Cleveland because I know sports ---- the fans shouldn't have booed the Cavs... the Celtics just trampled them because they played great defense and scored the ball while not turning it over ----a championship formula.  IMO, the Cavs fans showed how small-time they really are on that night and it couldn't happen to a better group of people.

My apologies for the NBA post, but if you don't like it then don't read it.  Its offseason and it was brought up!

Rock,
No need for an apology, but the snide/arrogant part after that wasn't necessary.

I can understand where you are coming from.  However, with all due respect and, seriously, I think Rock was just adding that as a disclaimer because it is a known fact that many times in the past, other posters have unfortunately made somewhat (shall we say disdainful) comments about other people posting non-football topics for discussion, even in the off-season.

While I agree wholeheartedly with Pat's rules about keeping non-sports related purely political commentary/opinion off here, certainly opinions relating to sports (even if about fan attititudes) IMO are acceptable.  Obviously, and I think you agree, everyone is entitled to their opinion - Rock was expressing his and, appropriately commenting about what other people have "complained" or sniped at others about and he did it without using any foul or inappropriate language.  I've made the same disclaimer in the past when confronted about posting off-season topics whether about other sports, sports in general, or non-sports related DIII issue as opposed to confining it (i.e. off-season topics) specifically to DIII football issues only, just for that same reason.  Just my opinion - thanks for listening. :)

Ha!  You just summarized every female friend I have who "loves" the Cavs.

p.s. Which would be worse for those people, admitting they're bandwagon fans or thinking Ferry was their best player because that means they don't even know who Terrell Brandon is?  Ahh, T. Brandon...I thought of him often when Mo was getting blown by like a mannequin.

That is what I was trying to say, I think.  Regular posters on here are fine with a little off-season banter and I thought his disclaimer was not needed by a frequent poster on this board, and also a bit "Snarky" as my wife calls it.  Especially since the OAC isn't necessarily his "Home Board" since he is a TMC grad.  He does provide LOTS of productive material to the OAC board as well, and just thought it was a bit boisterous, borderline arrogant, to post it.
