Dessingue needs to learn to pass with both feet on the ground, but he stays in the pocket when he is supposed to and sprints out when required. I'm gonna hate to see what he can do if he stands tall in the pocket with both feet planted. (or pulls it down and runs)

I'll give the music a 4 Mr. Clark. It had a good beat but it was hard to dance to

First win ever for the University of Mount Union!

UMU - 45
UW-Oshwhatever - 7

Insert the sound of one hand clapping (no really)

I hope the OAC wins big in their first games, but I am not so sure about CAP, or JCU ( playing CRWU). Maybe JK can shed some light on Cap vs. Wesley. I know it is very earlier but opens up some good conversation! :)

Wish I could, but I just haven't had the time to do any kind of research.  I know Wesley is historically a very good program, but I have no idea what they have coming back.  And news out of Cap has been hard to get (I miss Lenny).  I know what is returning, generally, but there are some questions I need answered before I can even make a way too early discussion.  I will say in general terms that Cap's strength is going to be running the ball this year, based on D'Andrea coming back, but a lot of talent is lost off the line and Marty is gone (I think he is, last I heard he was, I assume he didn't get a medical redshirt even though he missed the better part of two seasons- the Anti-Rocky I guess).  I've never been Nick Alexander's biggest fan, but he will be a senior and he has a lot of game experience backing up Marty the last two years.  There are some talented wideouts left too.  The defense is going to be a question mark, IMHO.  And there is always the "new coach factor," even though Stanford came from within.  Bickel came from within too and he was 5-5 the first year.

Give me some time.  I'll get to it.

Maybe we should start with WesleyDad

I thought it was Osh Kosh,..by gosh.   The coach that was telling me how good they could be was about half in the bag and waxing poetic so I attributed more credibility to his remarks than I otherwise would have. Besides, he has been kind enough to answer my questions in the past . What about the beer in OK land?  I know they have chedder cheese. Is there anything good to eat up there besides cheese?  I've heard these people live on cheese and beer. I'm going to the game, we're unbeaten when I go to the game in Wisconsin.

Hey guys, Havent been on much because of spring football. A couple of pages back you were talking about Panteges from Trinity Catholic. I actually met with him to discuss Mount Union and how the program works. He is a very fine young man, who played at a very competitive high school. Theyve been in the state championship a couple of times in the past 5 years. Im really looking forward to see what he does for the Raiders. Im doing my best to keep funneling the kids in from Florida. Im working on a halfback right now.

Thanks for the info.  When I saw OTC a few years ago the qb was the focus, but the supporting cast was equally impressive.  I liked the speed and ferocity they played with.  Reminded me of the mentality of Mount Union.  The defense didn't seem to have a lot of guys with stopwatch friendly speed, but they got to the ball quickly and punished the ball carriers.

Don't know about Oshkosh, per se, but that area of Wisconsin has some of the best German food in the world (including Germany).

Not sure if there will be a large number of Raider fans attending this one. It would be somewhat different if it was UWW! :-\

Would be easy to plan a trip to Chicago with friends and just make to run to Oshkosh - by gosh, back and forth on Saturday. Way more exciting that two fun fill nights with Scottish food in Whitewater. (McDonalds, which closed at 10, along with WalMart)

I understand the Alumni Office at Mount is looking into a bus trip to Wisconsin.  There are no details at this point.

All I know about OK is that I'm not looking forward to the trip.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Oshkosh is the size of Canton, OH, not sure of its claim to fame. It does have 4 HS's for UWOK to draw from however! :-\

Provided a lot of lumber after Chicago's "O'Leary incident," great springtime walleye fishing, and one heck of a spectacular, annual air show.  Actually, a pleasant small town nestled up on a big lake - lounge chair, cold Leinies, and a package of cheese curds on the beach, post game, anyone?  :D

Stephen Roush - seems like one of those "a step too slow" kids

I coach Roush. The two articles on Roush outdated. (2008) Ran 4.6 last year 37.5 vertical verified through WVU senior camp.

Don't take offense to that "step too slow" comment.

These are the athletes they LIKE at Mount Union.  Sometimes they get overlooked by DI schools because of the measurements (40 time, Height, Weight, etc.) but if they are Players and they work hard they can be very successful at MUC.

MUC welcomes these types of kids.  A lot of times they come in with something to prove because they were overlooked by the "bigger" schools.
