Cap 42 Wesley 28

OK, But I do not see the Wesley defense giving up 42 pts to Cap. Can the Cap offense get 42 points, yes but not against a strong defense. We will see how each will do in their first 3 games! :)

I am sure some of you guys can relate to this story...

My old HC in high school, Jim Place, has decided after 41 years as a coach/teacher/mentor/counselor/AD that it is time to retire.  His daughters created a Facebook page for the occasion and already nearly 600 people have joined to share their memories and well wishes (myself included).  He's been a huge influence on me and literally 1000's of other players and students.  Last night I read about 150 entries from friends and former players.  Coach Place will be missed on the sidelines but will continue to have an impact on the MEN of Chaminade (and Stebbins, Middletown, Hamilton, Beavercreek, etc.)

There is no way to explain the affect that a really great coach can have on your life. I still credit Coach Wuske from Mount Union for shaping me into the person I became

Totally agree, Coach Wuske was also an assistant football coach that I greatly admired! :)

Coach Wuske was as great a person as he was a coach and he was an awesome coach.

My deepest sympathies go out to the Czerwien family and the Waynesburg football community on the tragic loss of Mike Czerwien.

Thoughts and prayers for the Mike Czerwien family during this sad time.

I stay in touch with Coach Wuske's widow Janet. Words can't express the sadness of losing an awesome young talent like Coach Czerwien. I've got a Mogadore kid headed to Waynesburg I gotta call.

Something must have happened to put this into motion.  Not a great time of the year to be looking for a new Head Coach.

Coach Wuske was a great man and is well remembered here.  I was taking his beautiful daughter Patti out the day after he won the National Championship in cross country and was over at his house.  He had this huge smile and said with a laugh. "dont touch me ."  He was quite a guy.  No on got a big head on his teams.

He was trying to get out of there earlier in the off-season when he put his name in the mix for the Lakota East gig.  That might have put the wheels in motion...
