I see where Tom Arth is the co-offensive-coordinator. Bad. That's like co-head-coach.  Yah either your are the coach or your not. It gets close and the team looks to you and you have to look to your co-coordinator. There has to be the sense of a clear plan and you need to speak with an assured clear voice. We are getting some really dumb titles in athletics.

In regards to the Mt. vs. WAB in the regular season.........Coach Raeburn shares LK's strong feelings about NEVER letting that happen.  I talked to him about a year ago, and he said he still feels "weird" just seeing purple jerseys on the other side.  I am sure he would be more than happy to face the Raiders if it ended up being down in Salem.   ;)

Speaking of QB's, I heard Matt Piloto has been in Alliance for 7-on-7's.

I would hope so, if he wants to compete for the starting spot this fall.

He also had a great Spring according to internal Mount sources. It will be a real battle for QB this fall, but Piloto may have a slight edge going into summer camp, but we will see! :-\

If anyone has an edge, why wouldn't it be the guy who took snaps last year? I get that you're high on Piloto, but is it realistic to think this is isn't Seaman's job to screw up? What did Piloto/Seaman actually do to impress in the spring game?

All good questions +k!  Personally, I just want to see the best guy win the job.

Some facts:

Piloto    6'6"  220
Seaman 6'1"  195

True, Seaman was a back-up to K. Rocco, but his PT was limited. From the Spring drills, Piloto impressed with his accuracy and arm strength. Seaman is a mobile guy at 6 '1" and showed that last year, when he did get some PT. Granted Seaman took some snaps last year, but was not ready to take over when Rocco was injured in the playoffs.

Both will play alot in the first few games, then someone will emerge as the favorite. In years past however, Coach Kehres used two QB's depending on game conditions. The summer camp and outside scrimmage with W & J will tell alot! :)

PS I wasn't a big Seaman fan last year, but then again I have a sixties idea about what a QB should look like.

Frank Ryan and Larry Kehres.

Rscl70, SeventiesRaider as well as Runyr (ask him) were all Class of '70, but spent most of their MUC time in the Sixties, anyway my brother had already claimed Raider66 and I wanted to note the difference. (Besides that he was a good deal more literate than me)

Greg Micheli was 6'3" 205 right in between Piloto and Seaman. Wonder which one can lead the team like Greg did? :-\  Also, does not hurt to have a very intelligent QB either!

I liked Joris and I liked Greg. Piloto reminds me a little of both.

Just added Piloto to my spell checker dictionary so I don't have to look anymore. Micheli has been there for a while

Wilmington has a new Head Coach... Ken Minor who was the longtime coach at Reading (Cincy) HS until 2007.  He coached Tony Pike, DeShawn Wynn (UFlorida and GB Packers RB) and a couple of my buddies... good coach.  A really good "get" in my opinoin this late in the summer.  It will be an adjustment for him, though, in the OAC.

All from Wittenberg archives via their website. I'm assuming it is correct, or at least it looks good to a Witt fan. I doubt it will be, at least not for a long time, a Witt/Mount matchup. Witt rebuilds every 3-4 years but as of the last 20 + the Raiders just reload.
