Anyone see/know anything about a Ryan Moses sighting?

He was allegedly offered by Princeton, but when I looked at Princeton's recruits he wasn't on the list.  LK just said they were "working on it", so I  was just wondering.

Here's a question for some of you really "in the know" guys.....can a potential player/freshman participate in any of the 7 on 7's?  I know these summer activities (7 on 7) are a "player organized activity", so would any of the upper classman even let a freshman to be participate?

Just curious.....

Jr. gets to participate in the Stark County Football Jamboree tomorrow at Fawcett.  All the high school teams in Stark County (except Timken) are participating in a 7 on 7 round robin.  Morning and afternoon sessions.  Hoover (Jrs team) plays Alliance, Minerva (HSCoach you going?), Fairless, and then St. Ed's (the only non-Stark team attending).  Jr. is hoping that the freshman get some playing time against the smaller teams.

Football is in the air!   ;D

drt

Certain freshmen are invited to participate.  Seaman got the inside track on the other freshmen that way last year.

Blutarsky

Typically, freshmen participate in 7on7 if they are able to make the trip.  Obviously, those who live long distances can't make it.  It's a great way to get introduced to the offense/defense and the guys on the team.  Our son went to them before his first MUC camp and, even though a DB, it really helped with the calls/adjustments/alignment prior to the other 207 freshmen arrived in camp!

I remember in high school, several players would work out together prior to summer camp. We did not call it 7 v 7, but we did many of the same things organized by the players. Evenings were the best time, since many had summer jobs. It was a fun experience! :)

Maybe they do not do it any longer, but summer camp at Mount, meant that on the first day after your physical you had to run the mile for time.

Lineman under 6:30

Receivers and TE under 6:00

Backs Under 5:30

Those times under today's standards are probably slow, but until you did it you were not issued equipment. Summer workouts had to get you ready for that first day!

I know WE only care about football here, but Heidelberg did win 6 OAC championships and was in the final rounds of NCAA baseball this year. Attitudes have changed there and given their physical location, they realize that strong athletics is the road to increasing their enrollment. Tiffin is neat little college/farm town surrounded by the prairies of Ohio.

I think you'll all be surprised what a beautiful setting the new field is and what a great aide it will be to recruiting for football, as well as track and soccer

Yeah and changing their official operating name from college to university should help too.  It's all the rage these days.

OK, this week's "You gotta be kidding me" news story:

And he went to a "college" I thought Europeans thought that meant "trade school"  ::) :P

75 bucks

Of course - the BW QB didn't play for Mount or have any affiliation with Mount so let's humiliate him on here. Just like the guy that said that playing Wilmington was a waste of time because the Wilmington kids didn't play hard. Not playing hard and not having as much talent are two different things.

Let's see if your school is coached by a former Mount guy it is the best program and coach on the face of the earth.

Congrats to former WB and Mount Union player Todd Muckleroy for becoming Canfield's new basketball coach. The schools who had to face his Streetsboro teams are breathing a sigh of releif.

75-cent: Buy a sense of humor-Wasn't sure anybody would read the article if I didn't spice it up a bit.

Maybe they're thinking football is the "trade" he was learning.
