Seventies,

Congrats on your 600th+k! :)

I recall when it was -36

Are you nicer now or have the OACer's who took offense to Mount's dominance thrown up their hands and decided to take up online solitaire?

Bein_86

I truly appreciate the fervor and enthusiasm of the Purple nation. You guys have dominated D3 football for a long time and I root each and very year you make it to the playoffs (every year) to bring home the crown. It would be fun for the the balance of the D3 fans to see you challenged at the regional level more often, however.

This board would become more of an OAC board instead of a predominately Mt Union board. I know ONU is fashioning a team to be reckoned with this year and Otterbein has 3 or 4 D1 transfers, but can we honestly say anyonen will challenge the Raiders, probably not.

I agree who is going to be the first team to step up and give the Raiders a scare.  I think the same for UWW. Wittenberg and Linfield put the scares on us last year first.  So who's going to be the first do it to each of the 2 big teams this year?

IMHO Wesley will present a challenge to several teams based upon several returning players and they have been a consistent Top 5 team for the past several years! We will see if they, Witt, Linfield and maybe UMHB step it up against the traditional Purple powers. Maybe St. John's comes back real strong this year as well!

I stay on my board and don't follow anybody to their board during the playoffs and I let the Purple Raiders fight my battles. God knows I didn't get any nicer. I've grown older with some of the younger members of this board and I've out lived most of the Pioneer,  Quaker, JCu, BW   and Musky Fans. And I am THE Berg fan.

I'm an outsider that likes to check out the OAC chat room on a regular basis.  I also am a regular viewer of Rick's http://www.mtunionfootball.com/ Website.  I can't help but notice that there have been no homepage "news items" since June 1st.

I hope all is OK!?
Yup, I've noticed that too.  Maybe hscoach can fill us in.  Has Ric burned out on Purple Raider football or is he just off for the summer?

I never thought that I would root for anything from Hamilton, but I'm hoping these Fightin Nuxhall's win the LLWS

Let me check with Ric before I answer.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

To everybody else here, thanks for the karma, which I feel I gained more thru quantity of posts than perhaps quality at times. Lets be sure to keep RC a head of me and get Runyr caught up to me.

The improvement in Sports Information at Mount has totally replaced the need for what my brother, Raider66, did for years and gives new meaning and direction to Ric's site. I know that over time, Len wants to add history of all sports at Mount Union, something we always relied on Ric to provide. Maybe it's time for Ric and the offical site to merge and let Ric enjoy his son's growing up.

Having said that: I noted that Ric has helped Lenny to add Stats and History to the Official Site

There are still a ton of stories, pictures and audio that I would hate to lose. I'm in no way disrespecting the mountain of work Ric has done on our behalf over the years, just suggesting times have changed and maybe there is a change coming.

I am rooting for Hamilton - watched them beat a pretty good Terre Haute team at the regionals, so they are my "pick to click".  I was surprised to see NJ hit Morrison as hard as they did, but that 1st inning from OH was too much to overcome.
