Headed out tomorrow evening to watch the Cards scrimmage against Kenyon. Not expecting much of a battle since Kenyon is a weak NCAC team. Looking forward to seeing how far along the young WR's are. Very untested group.

But Kenyon never has a problem finding a kicker

Does anyone know who/when/where Cap scrimmages?  I (shockingly) didn't see it on their site.

Jr. had quite the freshman debut tonight.  Hoover won 27-0 against Ashland, and Jr. had over 100 yards rushing, one touchdown, and about eight tackles.

At the Mount scrimmage, were any of those #5's Urbania?  I am intrigued to see if this kid is on the field, and if he is showing promise.

Urbania was held out.  Staying healthy has been a serious issue with him.  Supposedly he has some talent and could push for the job if he could stay on the field.

Good to hear about Jr.  Skunk was pretty pumped about him last night.  First 20 minutes of the scrimmage was the step-by-step replay of Jr's performance.  Skunk's memory and verbal skills are pretty good when he's sober.

Come to think of it, last night might have been  the first time I've ever seen him sober?

HURF and Mtfan:  Good to catch up with you guys last night too.

Lenny:  Was very good to see that your little girl doesn't look too much like you.

Any truth to the rumor that mtunionfootball.com is going dark so that hottubbingwithhscoach.net can finally take off?

Shhh.  It's not official yet.

Good thing my wife doesn't ever log on to D3.

It's about time to revive the OAC Pick-Ems for 2010.  As always, our contest is open to anyone.  Whether you're a regular of the OAC page or not.

We pick all the OAC games, plus a few national games of interest.  OAC games are worth 2 points, national and non-conference games are worth 1 point.

All games are picked with spreads.

I'll be posting the spreads on the Sunday nights for that week's games.  If at all possible, I'd like the picks from the participants in by Friday at noon.  Worst case is Saturday at noon (Eastern time).  No exceptions on the Saturday noon deadline.

When posting the picks, please be clear who you're picking.  Most of us get a little "creative" when posting the picks, but try to make it clear enough that the old guy (me) can understand it.  One thing that doesn't work is the "shading" or "coloring" of the teams.  "Bolding" is fine, but the other stuff doesn't print well enough to distinguish.

The week's results are typically posted on Saturday night.  Sunday at the latest.

Last year we had over 60 folks playing and had a blast doing so.  Please join us!

The games and spreads for Week 1 will be posted this weekend.

Also, please note for week 1 I'll need the picks by Thursday at 6:00 PM night since ONU opens that night

5 hours to kickoff in Arizona.  7 pm can't get here soon enough.  I'm sick as a dog but anxious to call my first varsity game on Offense.

I just finished putting decals on the last varsity helmet so all there is left to do is watch more film and figure out what I can eat that won't cause me to lose my lunch.

ALMOST GAME TIME!
