After the Wednesday scrimmage with W & J, will the Raiders have the starting QB and will it be Neal Seaman? :-\

I'm 90% sure Seaman will be the "starter" in Week 1, but I doubt the job is really his (or Piloto's) until a couple games into the season.  I expect the same Randy Mason/Mike Jorris rotation that we saw years ago, basically waiting on one of them to either clearly win or lose the job.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

I think as Raider fans we can only hope that one of the qb's will take a hold of the job the way Jorris did in 05.  Those two games against JCU and Ott really solidified Jorris as the starter.  I think one will have the job by the first home game

Hey, who can tell me about Heidelberg. They come here to open the season and I want to know what they'll be coming with.

All I can (or will) say about the Berg this year is to expect continued improvement. For the past several seasons they have improved enough to be the kings of the OAC second division. (A place historically reserved for Baldwin-Walllace). The University had made a commitment to updating athletics prior to the hiring of Coach Hallett and they had at least 6 OAC championships last year and a baseball team that made it to the Show.

I made the comment that your nobody till you beat somebody and perhaps this is the year that Heidelberg picks off a sleeper in the top half of the OAC and gains respectability.

Summary: They are an improving, middle of the pack OAC team that would like very much to get a victory in their only non-conference game

Thanks sho and Raider. And BTW, Alma was supposed to get new turf this year but with the new athletics building/arena, it didnt get done. It should be fresh next year!

Well, Heidelberg has a beautiful field with new turf and a fabulous track but won't have permanent seating for a while. I did locate the surveyor's stakes though. That's a start

Amazing memory seventies raider. Thanks for the reality check. Considering I'm on page 1, I hope all is water under the bridge. Looking forward to a great year.

No practice report as I had to work today. Would seriously consider a trip to W&J if anybody wants to ride with me from Akron, Canton or Alliance

My only head scratcher so far in reading the Kickoff section on the OAC was the unfounded optimism for John Carroll 's season. They were one really bad football team last year and I see nobody giving them an easy way to go this year. I think 6-4 isn't very realistic, of course I don't think they have a prayer against Case Western Reserve, so add losses to MTU, OTT, CAP, ONU and at least one loss to either Musky, Heidelberg or Bdubs and they look more like 4-6

Seriously, how do you recruit top players when you have no stadium?  Coach Hallett will have a much easier job when they get that project completed.  I'm really surprised it was not done for this season.
