Thanks for the info.  At this point, the only true "difference maker" that we know about is Cecil Shorts.  The rest of the team looks solid, but not great.  Reminds me of 2004.    Hopefully there are some youngsters in the wings that come mid-season have grown into studs.  IMHO, a solid team + Cecil isn't making it to Salem VA.

If ever there is a coach who can discover some gems in his mix of players to rise to the top its Coach Kehres. I would like to see where the Raiders are and who steps in the first 3 games!

Howdy Gang!

Proud papa is reporting in.  Jr. is getting SCARY good!  125 yards rushing..that would have been 175 but he had a 50 yard TD called back for....(wait for it)....illegal motion that was called after he already had broken free.  Louisville officials should have been embarassed. Jr. had another 7-8 tackles on defense.   Hoover freshman 2-0.

Now back to your regular OAC programming.   ;D

ONU wins...good.  Messed up my pics.....BAD.  B-W rolls COW?  Wow....COW must be really down.

Get used to it.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

I found out the kid who tore up the JV's in the scrimmage was Lattimore..he was a stud in that setting...fast, quick as I have seen come out of the backfield at Mount...dont know much about him I heard through the stands during the game that he has recruited in high school but got into some trouble and schools backed away...dont know if that is true, just passing on bleacher small talk

reality check

1999 - finally reached the page that matches my high school graduation.

TAKE THAT OLD TIMERS!
OAC Champs: 1942 (one title ties us with Ohio State)
OAC Runners-Up: 2017, 2016, 2015, 2010, 2009, 2005, 2004, 2001, 2000, 1999, 1982, 1941 (Stupid Mount Union!)
MOL Champs: 1952, 1950

reality check

Tonight we take on a team that lost 46-8 in week one.  While we lost 51-0 to the #2 team in that state, they lost to a team that I honestly think we could have beaten by two or three scores.

If we don't come away with a pretty big win, I'll be irate.

If we lose, it was nice knowing all of you.  Someone please stop by the house and feed my dog.

Lattimore started out at Miami U, transferred to Charleston Southern and got into some trouble with a group of teammates. Interesting to see if the young man can capitalize on this second/third chance

Maybe he will be one of those players who rises to the top early that makes a serious impact on the offense! :-\

Any MtU fans know if the bus to Wisconsin is full?  Still debating....   You guys derailed my drive plans me with all the talk of Chicago traffic.  28 years ago (wow, was it THAT long ago?) I used to commute from Evanston north down to Harvey south and back and thought nothing of it... but then again, I DID decide to return to Ohio for a little less rush hour, among other reasons.

How many others, but butterflies in their stomach when their alma mater (and son's team) is going to play a game? Tday is kililng me, plus I could not make the trip. Makes it worse.

Kira & Jaxon's Dad

Won our first "Official" game as a New High School last night.  Last week was a "Pre-Season Classic" game (lost 33-6 to a Varsity Team).

Last night we played a JV game against a JV team that hasn't lost in two years.  We won 38-7 and had over 400 yards of offense.

We have another JV game next week, then play 3 Varsity games in a row (first two could be winnable).

One piece of cheap advice:  Don't sit in the bleachers with the other folk.  Having been the father of two boys (both QB's in HS), with one going through 4 years at MUC, some folks can say nasty things about your kid(s).  Not necessarily intentionally, but they are said.  Heck, I have been known to be critical (of someone ELSE's child).  I found out a long time ago to just roam around the perimeter of the field and let my family play "where's Waldo" with dad.

Good luck to your boy, and to the Otters....represent the OAC!
