Hmmm score... I think it was 24-7 Mount Union.  I know JC missed a two point conversion attempt. But we must have had a penalty and JC then made the extra point.

Moses was present in the stands in body paint, says my source--probably playing tomorrow.

Freshmen, Julius (#4) from Florida had some nice returns, and #10 (from Mentor?) had the best performance of at least three quarterbacks with PT today, to my untrained eye. Our D had several sacks and forced other negative yardage. A couple of nice, sure-handed grabs by receivers and tight end (#24?), but I'll have to take notes next time to give their names.  This is why I only offer color commentary.  And too much of that, I'm aware. ::)

If Wisconsin-osh Kosh can put those kinds of points and yardage against Mount- I would hope ONU can be a little better and get into an old fashion shoot out with them this year. Very encouraging for the Bears. Especially matching up their secondary with Mounts WR core. Could this be the year (again!).

But is this UWO's best team ever? I've given up on the Raiders beating the greatest ONU team of all-time.
Maybe ONU can get more that 10 points this year for the supposed "shoot-out"?  been pretty tough sledding since the christmas card victory in '05

It is very likely that by the ONU game, the young Raider defense will figure out a few things, no-huddle offense, tackle and wrap-up, missed assignments etc! :)

No, that might be their 1972 (8-2)...undefeated WSUC (pre-WIAC) champions.   ;)

BUT, can ONU get by the undefeated, league leading Flamin' Pile :o :P ::)

I'm second in the WIAC pick'ems and last in ours. I look brighter at a distance :D

PS-The 8th grade Wildcats gave up their first points against Kent 46-12

Christmas Card Victory? Excuses are like............

ONU was the last OAC team to beat UMU since the '94 Flamin Pile. UMU hasn't lost a league road game since '91 Flamin Pile again. I guess its a good thing ONU is @ UMU this year. I am not saying we will win, but thats why they play the games. '99 was our best team and we got it handed to us twice that year. I think most UMU posters would agree.

Pick-Em results for Week 2 have been posted.

Look on the bright side 70's Raider, you didn't finish in the basement this week.  Even it is was only because a few guys forgot to post their picks:   :D

Spreads for Week 3 will be posted later today.

You're welcome.......

Doubt Mount will only suit up 70 for that game :P

It's been a decade+ and I'm still amazed Franzer, Vagedas and Robertson never beat Mount.  Those ONU teams were scary good.    As a MUC guy, I hope the '10 Polar Bears aren't anywhere near that good or Mount will get run off the field in a few weeks.

I agree 100%.  That 99 team was stacked.  The offense was great with Franzer/Robertson/Vagedes.  That's hands down the best RB and WR ever at ONU and one of the best QB's too.  And the D was loaded too with Sweat and that other kid I can't remember just wreaking havoc in the backfield and that DB that was an absolute ball hawk.  I still have no idea how that team got beat that badly.  They were very talented.

^^^^ Just because it was bugging me, the kids I was thinking of must have been Len VanDeVelde and Jeremy Presar (10 picks that year!).

Where's the ONU bandwagon terminal? I'd like to hop on a couple days three weeks early.

The OAC "game of the week" is ONU/OTT, will it be as close as HScoach has it on the Pick-ems or will either team blow the game open? Both teams come off victories, but ONU had the tougher battle with UW-RF. We'll see if this year the game is very close again! :-\

Has Ott ever updated their terrible vistor's seating, or are they waiting for some one to be severely injured?
