After finishing watching the shaky JCU video of the game, I'm happy to change my assessment of Neil Seaman. He was confident and stood firm in the pocket. He did a lot of second and third read pass options. He let the running backs do the running. OK, I finally see what Larry has seen in him for years. Clearly the reason I spent a lot of Falls coaching Cross Country
Seventies, Where did you see the video of the game. Just wondered?
WELCOME TO THE MACHINE!

Yes I was a personal trainer of Roush. But that isn't why I asked the question. First, he did play late in the game and the question wasn't directed toward him. Second, I wasn't questioning PT. I watched several players go in and  out of the game, so I'm not sure if everyone played just guessing that some did not. My question aimed toasted my buddy and some guys (my guess students) in stands was the same as on here. How in the world could you possible work them all. How do they do it. It was from an older gentleman that added the little contact. I simply was questioning how. In no way was it meant to undermine just to question if the best players are playing, how you evaluate them and how it all works.

And in no way was I indicating you were bitching....just asking.  It is a wonder how the Mount coaches do it.  And after watching a LOT of really bad D-III teams over the years, I have no doubt that Mount's 190th man could start for many of them (Hiram/Wilmington/Marietta/all teams from Maine/MOST if not all teams from Mass/MWC teams except for a select few on occasion/NCAC teams except for WITT & WAB...etc...)

Jr. and I were having the discussion similar to what we have had on here many times.  Do you want to wait to play (with the chance you will NEVER play) on a championship caliber team, or go play NOW for a good team, but one that doesn't have 200, and the pedigree of a Mount?

Hey after all those LK/VK football camps, it's like the theme song from CHEERS, "You want to go where everybody knows your name" :D

Doesn't apply to any on THIS board, but this is a funny article.

Or the Oshkosh announcers, "and the play is out to the 51 yard line"

Or dumb stuff coaches say, Kent State Coach Martin about playing Penn State, "Turnovers will make the difference." Only if your talking Apple or Peach turnovers at MickeyD's on the way home

Things that make you go "Hhhmmm?"

No matter how bad Husson is, there are four teams in their conference that are worse.

As a parent, it is so hard. Our prayers to the Giuntini family as well as the Thiel College community.

May God grant to Louis Giuntini and all the departed, eternal rest.

My condolences to the Thiel Football family...

As for Capital, no excuses, but Marty Assmann didn't play.  Not sure what, exactly is wrong, but hopefully it isn't anything serious.  It'd be a shame for a guy to lose his "extra year" to injury.  Marty has really only had one healthy season.

By all accounts, the Cap's Defense looks good, but the offense is struggling right now.  Five Turnovers vs. BW and 4 vs Wilma.  A -6 TO ratio isn't a good thing.

I hope they get it together and give Wesley a game, but a lot more guys are going to have to perform better than they are right now.

Looks as if Whitewater is adding some real class players to their roster. For some interesting reading just Google the name Booker Stanley. Says a whole lot about their program and they act like they are just giving this guy another chance. I guess it's win at any cost for them. Glad the coach thinks everyone on the team  is just like him, must make a Dad proud. What a joke!!

No offense JK, but if Capital is really an upper half OAC team, they have to be able to comfortably beat Wilmington without their 1st string QB.  Regardless of whether that QB is an All-American or just plain good.  Wilmington is horrid and should have been dominated by even an Assman-less Capital team.   If I was a Cap fan, I'd be getting really nervous about where the program is heading.  It sure looks like they're headed the Flaming Pile route to always slightly less than average...........

*****NOTE TO ALL CAPITAL FANS:  READ NO FURTHER ******

As a complete outsider with no vested interest in the Capital program itself, but a big fan of Mount and all things OAC, my hope is as follows:
1.  Assman comes back healthy this week and Capital beats Wesley or at least really pushes them to the absolute limit.
2.  If Assman can't play against Wesley, which means they'll get drilled, then he can't play for the rest (or majority) of the season meaning Capital finishes under .500 in the OAC.

Reason I say the above is simply from a national perspective looking at the OAC.  If Assman only misses the Wilma and Wesley games, but then comes back healthy to lead Capital to a 7-3 record, it's going to look really bad nationally when the 2nd or 3rd place OAC team gets drilled by 30+ points against Wesley.  Nobody is going to notice or care whether they play Wesley without their star QB.   Most of the nation already thinks the OAC is Mount and a bunch of crap and this scenario would only feed more gas onto the fire.

Whereas if Capital finishes 4-6 (or worse) overall, no one nationally is going to put much credence into Wesley's big win over an poor OAC team when ONU and Mount did the same exact thing too.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!
