I'll take RC's remark about not liking the Presto live stats and add to it. I don't like the Presto team stats. Way too much that isn't there, like participation. Sometimes it's nice to know what the game time weather was if you weren't at a game. I had to look everywhere for attendance.

BUT, nice video clips on the Mount site.

BTW-Brandon Brown is a nice addition to the receiver corps

Positive about Murray is that those feet keep churning no matter what. He does seem to have a good quick first step and burst
So, where did you find the attendance? Canton Rep. says 6,432.  I didn't find it anywhere else.
12-0 = 13

I know it's off topic, but I've got to give a nod to the Browns; they finally finished a game.

Sorry I implied success. Had not found them. Thanks, I looked to be an unusually large crowd

Well, we have Ohio State and they have Minnesota, enough said?

DISCLAIMER: (Spoken in jest by someone who wouldn't walk across the street to watch an Ohio State game) or at least until they start playing Nebraska

Yes, that 16,500 attendance even beats the best Monon Bell game for Wabash/DePauw and the latter has huge attendance each year as you all know.  That is fantastic.  I think it is great when we occasionally get 4,000 - or even 3350 when we're winning regularly (or the 8,000 at one of the MIAA championship games one year in the '90's) - but, I can't hardly imagine what the atmoshphere would be like with that many in the stadium.  That would be a great experience.  Too bad we can't get that for the Stagg Bowl!! ;)

It's a shame that the atmosphere that endears most of us to the Stagg Bowl/Salem & Roanoke Virginia experience comes at the expense of large crowds. Being the weekend before Christmas can be a problem for those whose wife's don't wait until their son and husband leave for 3 days to do decorating and shopping.

Spreads for Week 6 have been posted.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Man, I've never seen so much nitpicking after a pretty solid beatdown of a top 10 team, purple people.  I was at the game Saturday (I wasn't missing much from my alma mater, that's for sure).  Anyone want to trade teams?   :)

Mount's DB's played an outstanding game.  Simmons was limited in large part due to the coverage down field.

ONU had too many turnovers and couldn't move the chains on third down.  Simmons made some downright awful throws, especially as the game went on and the lead became insurmountable.

I actually thought Seaman played pretty well.  Sure, he lacks the big arm that Raider fans have become accustomed to, but overall he made great decisions with the ball, had a couple of fantastic throws (the back corner touchdown on the run comes to mind), made a couple plays with his feet, and really only had the one bad mistake on his first pass.  I give a lot of credit to the ONU D on that pick.  They disguised their coverage pretty well, and Seaman didn't see the safety sliding to his right to undercut the route.

I was expecting more from ONU.  Thought the game was going to be decided by 7-10 points, but I don't even think it was as close as the score indicates.

7 to 10 points was what I was expecting too.  Very shocked it ended so one-sided.

After watching the replay, I give a total team score of "B" to Mount.  If we get the running game going a bit more, and Seaman just improves week to week, we will not be challenged until the regional finals.

Of course, we will have one of "those games" yet in the regular season (ugly one that we win), but I don't see anyone in the OAC challenging the Raiders.  Maybe if Capital has a perfect game (not likely), but that's about it.

I will give Mount all the credit for making Simmons look very average (being kind).  He was confused, flustered, and just didn't look comfortable all day.  If Donley is the returning all-OAC RB, it just is an indication that there aren't any studs in the conference this year.

BW always seems to play UMU tough.  Could be a good game in week 9 in the flaming pile keeps rolling.  Game is in Berea also.

Agree, i think that B-W could have only one loss going in that game. :)

I have to admit that as a student of math and probability I've followed football sites that used math clear back to Dunkel Predicts. I was using MasseyRatings.com to find some odd HS scores today and checked Massey's prediction for the Mount - Marietta game. Massey awards Marietta 0% chance of beating Mount. So the guy at the heart of the BCS does at least known something about DIII football 8-)

This just in...

Capital and the Berg just put up another 400 yards of Offense and 30 more points.  ;D

Good to see Cap get the offense in gear, but I am surprised by the lack of defense.  Guess I shouldn't be, Cap-Berg always seems to be a high scoring affair.
