Just back from Marietta,  HScoach said it all.  I believe this is the most sloppy I've seen Mount play since I became a regular in the 80's.  If they play like this next week the Berg just might steal one.  There seems to be a real lack of concentration on offense.  Miller had a good game and Murray a couple of good runs (when he held on to the ball).  Otherwise not many positives.  The Berg and everyone else should be working on the short and middle range passing game.  Mount couldn't stop those passes and got zero pressure on the three Marietta QB's.

Sad, sad performance all around.

In all my years of watching Mount Union football, including those pre-LK, that might have been the ugliest, most pathetic performance I've ever seen from Mount.

For anyone waiting on the team to arrive home, don't.  It's going to take a while for the offense to push the bus all the way up I-77.

Ugly game against Wilma.

Great defense & OK offense against ONU

Worse than ugly game against Etta.

LK and VK can not be happy.

Wow, I'm glad I didn't have to see it. I only had to listen to you guys describe it on Internet audio.  :-\

I will be the first to admit it, with todays offense performance there is no way BW wins. Special teams returned two kickoffs and a pick six won it. I said BW would have to steal one to go 8 and 2 think we did that today.

Still dont understand why the coach never went for two after missing the first extra point.

Hopefully today is the let-down game for Mount Union...the game and result that seems to be beyond understanding.  Unfortunately, this seems to be teh second game already this year like that.  It makes me wonder if this is the year that Mount Union doesn't make it to the semi's?  I know that's a long way off, and Mount seems to put things together in the playoffs that don't always look good in the regular season, but I do wonder...

PS--So what's it say about Anna Maria that Husson put up 53?
PPS--Fantasy update:  Garcon is back active this week.

That caught my eye too.   :o
Anna Maria Amcats scored same 38 pts Otters did, but gave up 53 to Husson!  What's that say about Amcats defense?
I checked their website.  It looks like this is only their 2nd year of football.  Site doesn't mention it, but I'm guessing Anna Maria is a former women's college.

Enjoyed the trip to Ada today.  My wife and daughters even said they'd be willing to make a return trip later this season.  It was a one-score game at the half, but the next 20 min. got ugly for CAP.  Rough day for the CAP QB, and there was no running game to help.  Good to see ONU bounce back and get things together for a deep playoff run.  By the sounds of it, I'm glad I went to this game rather than listen to the Mount game on the internet.  :-\

Agree with HScoach, it was dreadful to listen to much less watch in person. While I expected somewhat of a let down, I was disappointed in the lack of mental focus on the offensive side, but allowing Marietta to march down the fieild and get two scores, WOW! Too many subs for Mount during the game!

Enough bad news! how about a few positives

1. Still won the game
2. Murray "may" have filled a running void.
3. K. Miller had another great game, come on NFL scouts, give him a look!
4. Seaman had good numbers with no picks.(except the end of 1st half clock)
5. Finally, Coach Kehres(s) will start their " What the he** happen" process ASAP! :)

Only one of the fumbles was Murray's fault.  The first one was on Seaman as he tried handing it to Murray on an obvious pass play.

I agree that Murray has settled into the starting TB spot.  Not a game breaker, nor a bruiser, but a solid RB with average speed and good vision.  Best attribute is his pass catching ability.

After rolling his ankle early in the 1st half and missing the rest of the game, I expect (and hope) that today was the last time we'll see Cecil returning punts until the playoffs.  Hopefully it's nothing that lingers.

On the sideline Cecil had an ice bag on his toe.  (Small bag fits between the toes with ice on each side.)  A case of Turf Toe or maybe a stove or strain of some sort.

^ thanks for the update.  We couldn't see across the field well enough to tell what was the issue.

They get THAT fired up about not covering your spreads???....  Honest question:  Did Marietta have anything to do with it today?  I'm picturing them standing around after the miscues wondering, "WTF"... or "man I'm gonna ask out that pretty girl in tractor-nomics if we win today!!"

I had something funny to say about Anna Maria, but figured that most of you haven't heard of the movie Anchorman...

Four lost fumbles by UMU will get LK fired up.  Do that against a Capital, BWU or in the playoffs and you don't come away with a victory.
