LK and VK can not be happy.

They get THAT fired up about not covering your spreads???....  Honest question:  Did Marietta have anything to do with it today?  I'm picturing them standing around after the miscues wondering, "WTF"... or "man I'm gonna ask out that pretty girl in tractor-nomics if we win today!!"

Four lost fumbles by UMU will get LK fired up.  Do that against a Capital, BWU or in the playoffs and you don't come away with a victory.

The (2) 15 yard Mount penalties that helped Marietta score do not add for a pleasent Monday practice either! You're correct, against a better team on Saturday would have resulted in a loss.

I had something funny to say about Anna Maria, but figured that most of you haven't heard of the movie Anchorman...

Marietta had little to nothing to with it.  It was a very sloppy, uninspired performance.  I thought the Wilma game was sloppy, but the Etta game made Wilma performance look good.   They really looked like they were sleep walking.  Might have been  really interesting if Marietta wouldn't have lost their starter and 2nd string QB's in the first half.

I find easily offended people rather offensive!

HScoach,

Who shares the most blame, the players and/or coaches for lack of focus?

How would you address it in getting ready for Heidelberg if you were leading practice and films on Monday? :-\ +k for your candid comments

I've watched Anchorman a couple of times, so I'll bite.  Say something funny.

68:   I think it's a young team searching for itself.  Other than Shorts & Miller, the offense is completely new.  Ryder is a returning starter at RB, but his role is different.  The O-line has been shuffling around due to injuries and we've just now begun to identify the #1 TB, but what he's capable of is still unknown.  Add in a sophomore QB and you have the makings of a wildly inconsistent offense.

While it's been ugly, at least they're talented enough to play ugly and still win.

I will be the first to admit it, with todays offense performance there is no way BW wins. Special teams returned two kickoffs and a pick six won it. I said BW would have to steal one to go 8 and 2 think we did that today.

Still dont understand why the coach never went for two after missing the first extra point.

Tough loss for us in what I thought was a sloppy game. I hope your son is okay, saw him go off. Mine was struggling with his injury and was not used much and was taken off returns, in a game of retruns.

You guys getting two KO return for TD's and an 90 yard Interception return was exciting but devasting to the Bein. Good luck the rest of the year.

For a team with a lot of new starters they left a bunch behind on this trip. I personally want to know what Larry will remember, Murray's 3 TD's and 170 yards or the TWO FUMBLES.  Mongo no like fumbles

It's a young, developing team that could barely afford to be missing Driskill, Shorts and Mathie (at least Mathie as punter and FG holder)

I s/b easy to spot this week: Mount Union wind jacket and Heidelberg Dad hat

LK on the stupid mistakes:

"We are very inexperienced in terms of starters on the field and we played like that today," Kehres said. "The mistakes today are not something that assistant coaches can fix. It's not something I can fix. They have to do it."

I wasn't clear why Nick Driskill didn't play Saturday.  Was he banged up, or given a week to rest up? Or both?

I told his Dad during halftime ONU game, we're so glad he chose Mt. U over the big league Indiana opportunity that courted him in HS. Dad said Nick's glad he came here too. He is so much fun to watch. So is Cam West. Great to have so many emergent leaders, paving the way with their passion.

Kehresma,

Thanks for your Saturday updates! +k

I think the game against Heidelberg will be a much different story than Marietta. No offense to Coach Mike, but the young Raiders will be more mentally focused. HScoach's spread may very well be on target!

The question is how do we keep Seventies objective during the game? ;D ;D

I'll just stand there along the south wall, only a hand full of steps on to the Mount side. I do hope the Berg shows well. They have a ton of offense.......................

Actually I'm not sure if I can get out of announcing Saturday, When Mogadore has an away JV game I have to cover the youth games

Thoughts for the week

UMU-  Thanks Marietta for burning HScoach's spread. Now we get to hear all week about how a two touchdown win means the sky is falling.

ONU-BW I think this is going to be the deciding game in the OAC for 2nd place. Flaming pile goes down in..................... well a flaming pile.

ONU should they win out gets an at large.

What happend to Wabash?

Where is Ric and 4u?
